Are official Japanese SegaSaturn 6 player multitaps region locked?

I worked at sega way back in the ole saturn days and the grey Japanese multitap is region free. It will work with a US saturn.

It should work fine on a Pal system as well.

AFAIK all Sega accessories (controllers, multitaps, etc) have been region free. I've used several Japanese Saturn multitaps on my PAL Saturn .. my favourite by far being super-cool Bomberman style ones :)
