Too bad we wont ever see 'em here.

I'd have definitely bought Battle Ace and G N' G. Maybe they'll dig up the version of Strider, they promoted, back in the days.

Oh, and did I ever mention I sold my Wii? ;) LOL

Battle Ace blows. :(

There's nothing to dig up of Strider, if I recall correctly. The game never existed in any playable form (and it's doubtful that any headway was ever made in getting it off the ground in the first place).

Joystiq screw up with the amount of SuperGrafx games. SuperGrafx had 7 games released during its lifetime. I looked it up in my DP collector's guide: Advance Edition. The 7 games are 1941: Counter Attack, Aldynes, Battle Ace, Daimakaimura (ghouls'n Ghosts), Darius Alpha, Darius Plus, and Granzort

I disagree with that statement. North America and Europe has a chance to get the games on the vc with Hudson's history of releasing import games.

Hudson already 5 Pc Engine/ Pc Engine CD games in North America. We will be getting 2 more import games next month including Gradius 2. Hudson also released an import game for the snes in North America.

The Tg-16 amd Turbo CD didn't have a lot of game released in North America. That means had has bring import games to North America including SuperGrafx

That sucks.

I used to drool over the SG Strider pics in those old Die Hard Games ads from EGM's early days.

According to Wikipedia, there was a playable proto of Sega's Galaxy Force II. It probably looks and plays like crap, but it world be interesting to have.

I'd wish someone would shit or get off the pot and finally translate/bring Y's IV on over.

I'd love for an official version to come out. The fan translation of Dawn of Ys was pretty fucking good, but the technical limitations that left him unable to subtitle the vocal segments (of which there were many) really detracted from the game. I had a laptop open next to me with the Vocal Translation FAQ or whatever as I was playing it. Not optimal, but it worked well enough to fully understand the story as I mowed through it.

Kind of tempted to play through it again, though I think I'd better play the retranslation of Mask of the Sun first. Played the previous one and it wasn't too bad...though the gameplay wasn't up to snuff (and neither were the graphics...for shame :( ).

One thing I'm thankful for is that the fandub project never came to fruition. Nerds can translate text and hack the fuck out of games like nobody's business, but nerds sure as hell can't act (either vocally or otherwise). :(

Strider was released on the pce useing the arcade card.

Though,it's a poor port to begin with even with the extra level throw in.

I wouldn't see the point having it on the vc to begin with.

no, technicly there are only 5 games made exclusivly for the SGX.

darius plus is a HU+ card not a SGX card. so it works on a PCE. it just runs smoother on the SGX, less flickering

i beleive Darius Alphia is also a HU+ card if you even want to consider it. its really just a promotional boss rush.

What's next for the Virtual Console, Virtual Boy? ;)

Yeah, most collectors consider that the SuperGraphx has 5 titles, not seven as the other two are HU+ cards.

Personally I only count 5 titles.

At this rate, I could see it happening.

It would be great for those who own those newer "3-D ready" HDTV's to show off the capability (if it's possible). While us regular folk play in boring ol' 2-D.

One of those Darius games is impossible to find and impossibly expensive if I recall. That would make it a nice release...

That'd be Darius Alpha. Honestly though, the only one really worth releasing Stateside would be 1941 Counterattack.
