The de Blob Thread

I didn't see a thread for de Blob yet, so I decided to start one. I got it yesterday, and I think it's one of the best games on Wii to date. It's very addictive, I'm usually not one trying to go for 100% completion in a game, but in de Blob I'm definitely trying to do it, painting every trashcan and street sign in sight. I also dig the funky soundtrack, there aren't that many games with such an unusual choice of music. I think a good comparision would be Jet Set Radio, the games share a lot of similarities.

Any thoughts?

I played this game when it was still a freeware for PC. It was developed by some Danish high school kids if I remember correctly (?).

It's often compared to Katamari Damacy, what with the rolling around and all. I think its more of a default analysis as there is little to the likeness to deBlob. One aspect of the gameplay I felt quite fond of was the threat of police chasing you around. Opposed to katamari, it provides some degree of variation.

Coloring towns is neat FUN.

I'd like to get some more opinions on this. Katamari is one of my favorite games of all time, and if this game is as cool, I might consider getting a Wii for this title alone.
