i have the beautiful stick and love it so dearly. i would LOVE to use it to control the many flight sims (and arcadey shooters) i have for PC. its got a usb connection...
anyone know if there are drivers for it? mine is packaged in a box right now in the closet so i cant really check instantly if itll work out the box or not.

I'm no expert, but I believe its basically a standard Saitek X-52 (I think thats the model, I haven't had my PC throttle/joystick out for a while but it looks identical) with the appropriate security chip installed for 360 use that tells the 360 it's an authorized controller.
So standard Saitek software should do the trick.
Edit - Looks to be a reskinned/slightly modified X-45, not X-52. Not familiar with the X-45, but if its anything like the X-52 you should enjoy it with PC titles. It appears to just be a slightly older, less fancy version of the 52 with a few less buttons and everything isn't backlit like on the X-52.

I never tried myself, but I'm almost positive you can use it on a PC & Mac. Same goes for the AC5 stick for PS2.

I wish MS would put more accessories into the driver support. The Arcade Gamestick and the Big Button controllers do not work with the drivers in XP, and I have yet to find unofficial ones either. The Big Buttons would be great for You Don't Know Jack or such.

Install the official XBox 360 controller drivers and you're good to go. I've played many games of After Burner II with that thing. Note that you still can't use the "extra" spinners and dials on the throttle lever, since Windows just sees it as a 360 controller.

Install Saitek's drivers and you'll be able to fully use everything I hear.
