All I have to say to that is wow. The diskette appearing to have been hybrid formatted by hand to work on both machines on the SAME side? Like the author of the article, the idea blew my mind. Developers had to work with some very tough constraints back then, and their workarounds were so very imaginative.

I was reading that earlier today... extremely impressive. I used to bang on a C64 back in the day and I was always impressed what could be done with so little. I was equally impressed with the copy protection some games used (I learned to be VERY resourceful with Maverick).

Kudos on this very odd and rare find.

Interesting ... and thinking that one version in each side was considered good enough!

I don't understand why people found this so interesting. It isn't rare. Many software companies released games in combo formats. There are plenty of hybrid Atari 800/C64 and Apple II/C64 disks around that I've archived (yes, on the same disk side). Now the IBM/C64 combination I haven't run across (that I know of) but it isn't surprising...

... Because a lot of us didn't know such a thing was possible?

Jeez.

I agree. That's why it bothers me when developers today complain that a 50 GB disc isn't big enough.
