I'm selling a pair of Bung Doctor V64s. They are unit-only except for the cartridge adapters pictured - I don't have any of the other parts (like the power cords). If you are interested in purchasing them I'm pretty sure you already know more about them than I do, so I won't bother trying to explain. They are being sold as-is (since I don't have the power cord to test them), but I'm guessing that at least one is fully functional.

The first is in pretty good condition overall, though there are some minor cosmetic blemishes in the form of scratches and dirt. It includes 128mb of pre-installed RAM. The second has burn marks and some warping on the top of the case. It also comes with 128mb of RAM. I believe that you can pair the RAM from both units together and make a single unit with 256mb of RAM.

What makes these particularly interesting are the "Property of Iguana Entertainment" stickers on the back of each. Since I picked these up in Austin, TX (Iguana's former home), I can say with confidence that they came from the company that developed several great gaming franchises ranging from "NBA Jam" to "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter."

I'm obviously a newbie poster, so I'm willing to work with any interested parties on transaction terms. I have 100% positive feedback on CheapAssGamer.com under "nwaugh" (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/itrader.php?u=27547).

I'm asking $170 shipped for the pair. I accept PayPal, money orders, and personal checks. They will be shipped in a sturdy, well-padded box with delivery confirmation. Thank you for your interest and let me know if you have any questions!

Edit: I'd really like to sell them together, but if there's interest, I'll sell them separately at $100 (for the one with slight burn marks) and $130 (for the other one) shipped.

If I didn't have a Z64, I'd be all over this.

I remember an ebay auction with 2 iguana v64's from roughly a year ago. Did you win that auction or did the auction get cancelled?

Good memory - the auction got cancelled by Ebay and I haven't gotten a chance to try to move them since then. I actually started out with more than two - I managed to sell the first pair together for ~$200 on Ebay (I'm pretty sure the buyer went on to resell one of them for $150 on the dextrose.com forum), and then the second pair got pulled before the auction completed.

In case anyone is worried that I'm selling the same two twice, check the EXIF information on the photos above and you'll see that the photos were taken on Sept. 29th. If anyone is really worried, I can take photos of them with today's Wall Street Journal, hostage-style.

Sounds good, unfortunately I'm in the same boat as JohnnyA. Great deal though, I'm sure these will get snatched pretty quickly!

Damn you, Z64s! Just kidding. If anyone needs more info or wants more pictures, feel free to PM me or post in this thread.

I'd really like to sell them together - I'm not quite ready to price them separately yet. Thanks for all of the interest!

MrSparkle sent me this by PM:

"just FYI I'm fairly certain that the v64 tops out at 128Mb of ram per unit. Didn't wanna post this in the thread and have it be interpretted as sale spoiling. Nice looking units though if i wasn't trying to cut back I'd be all over these."

First, I want to thank him for being considerate. Second, I want to say that it's absolutely not sale spoiling in this case - I appreciate all the technical help I can get. He very well may be right and I don't want anyone to mistakenly purchase these based upon my poor technical descriptions (hence all of the pictures).

After a little research, it looks like I was a little imprecise on defining the RAM. What I described as 128mb is actually 128 Megabits (16 Megabytes). The simple picture of the memory card shown in this V64 manual (http://defaced.co.uk/bung/support/v64_manual.htm) seems to match what each of the cards in my V64s look like (see below).

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y189/mmmjackson/v64_5.jpg

So I'm pretty sure the card included with each V64 is 128 Megabits. My confusion came from looking at the underside of the V64s:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y189/mmmjackson/v64_6.jpg

I assumed (we know what that does) that both slots could be filled with RAM to bring it up to a total of 256 Megabits, but it does look like it might be a tight fit, and I'm not sure if V64s will even recognize that much RAM. I'm not even sure what the added RAM would even do for you in this situation - a V64 with 128 Megabits might be capable of doing anything you wanted it to. If anyone smarter than me can confirm one way or another, I'd very much appreciate it.

By the way, they're still for sale! :)

http://www.hkgtoys.com/search.php?page=sfc003 This will take your V64 upto 256 and be able to play al but 7 N64 games (the ones that are 512mb)

I would be interested in one if the other guy wants one.

Free bump for the term "bung doctor." I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when I saw that >.>

Pretty cool stuff though, good luck with the sale!

I'd really like to sell them together, but if there's interest, I'll sell them separately at $100 (for the one with slight burn marks) and $130 (for the other one) shipped. I'm pretty sure that's still below market value, since mrmark0673 says he sold his for $135. Thanks for your posts, atreyu187 and sisko.

I should have been more clear, but mine was CIB. Regardless, I still think these are priced very fairly and if people are interested should snag these up.
