Blockbuster Discounting Remaining 40GB PS3 Stock

Original Post from : The 1 2 p

Much like the 20GB 360 got discounted to clear stock for the incoming 60GB model, Blockbuster Video is doing the same with the 40GB PS3 model to make room for the new 80GB models: http://kotaku.com/5055311/sony-price...l-this-weekend

This story actually started as a rumor of across the board PS3 price cuts until Sony issued a statement saying it was done specifically by Blockbusters. While it's only a $40 price drop, thats a whole tank of gas for my 2 speed tricycle. Plus, in this horrible economy(thanks Bush) every little bit counts.

Yeah, same here. I want to wait and turn one into a dev box. Cell processor dev box and a blu-ray player in 1 box, yeah, that's cool. Now if they will only drop the price of the blu-ray movies, hahaha

yea unfortunatly blu-ray media is still pretty expensive to produce at this point. as can be seen with this http://www.runtechmedia.com/product.asp?sku=TDK2x25GBDRE50 50 pack of burnable blu ray discs over $700!!!

and those are for 25gb discs not even the 50s!
