I'm not asking for one, I'm just making a plug if anyone needs it.

Jokerface Video (http://www.jokerface.net/) out of Pennsylvania has a good stock of original NDS spare parts (not NDS Lite...yet) in stock and is a great source for that sort of thing. In the past year I've bought a system board and touch screen off of them to keep my old model I DS chugging and both have worked great. Prices and shipping are reasonable and they ship quickly, too. They also have Gamecube parts, although for a $30 replacement unit at Gamestop I guess it's not exactly cost-effective to repair a Cube anymore...Either way it's good to have a U.S. source for these things.

the replacement parts prices are pretty good. the systems and games though are pretty bad. Not that theres a lack of places to find systems and games at a good price. Im half tempted to build a ds out of parts just for fun, already have a nds lite but ive never even so much as held the original.

Not sure why, but my virus software started popping a ton of virus warnings when I went to that site...be careful.

mine didn't. Check your settings, sometimes mine go loopy and lock up, and sometimes pops up for this website.

Hmmm....Didn't intend to send anyone to a virus-happy site. FWIW I'm behind a very tight corporate firewall I don't get any sort of maliciousness warnings. But hey...if it's not working for you then by all means look somewhere else. It is a legit site, though...

The guy probably isn't even aware his website's infected with malware. Someone should give him a heads up.

dealextreme.com is good.

They are legit, and have the cheapest prices I've seen.

Shipping just takes forever from Hong Kong (2-8 weeks) but if you are willing to wait they're the best place.

I've bought multiple flash carts from them.

By George you're right!!!

I've bought flash carts from them before...but I never looked deeper than that and realized they had such substantially better prices on NDS replacement parts as well. $3.50 for a touch screen versus the $20 I paid to Jokerface?! And free shipping!!! :frustrated:

Next time, I promise.

Sorry for the bad lead, gang, I just replaced my touch screen (twenny bucks grumble grumble) the other night and was feeling pretty good about life and thought I'd give Jokerface a plug. Never mind, then.

Since Pan brought this up, i'm going to thread jack a little.

I've got a pair of DS Phat systems that need new touch and top screens, thanks to them being kiosk units (the inside shells have seen better days too, but the screens are unusable). I was looking at dealextreme, but was having a hard time finding what I wanted with the search engine on the site. Searching for Nintendo DS screens didn't get me anything remotely close to what I was looking for.

Having asked that, how hard would it be to replace the screens? I really don't want to give up these systems as their serial numbers are insanely low. Or should I try to go to Nintendo to get the stuff fixed there?
