I ordered some boxes from ULine recently, and ran into a shipping option I've never seen before anywhere else.

The cheapest/default shipping they offered was from a company called "Golden State". The help says it's only available to people in their regional area (I'm in northern CA). I changed it to UPS because I wanted to avoid having any problems with delivery.

This is what ULine says about them:

For our Northern California Customers, Golden State offers next day delivery into the Bay Area, at comparable prices to UPS Ground.

Has anybody ordered from ULine with this "Golden State" carrier? I can't help but think it's a heavy freight company, and they wouldn't actually deliver here. I've never seen a "Golden State" truck in my life, and I can't imagine they're going to drive to my rural town and come rolling up the driveway with a small pack of 25 boxes I bought. It doesn't make rational sense.

Anyone have any experience with that carrier?

They seem to be a standard carrier, like UPS but small-scaled.
