You got a pink stylus when you registered Kirby Canvas Course! :)

I'm a little nervous about the "as is" part though. :/

Got it today. It was in good shape with screen protectors :) It works just fine, but had some scratches (many) on the outer casing. Just for the heck of it I popped the serial number into the Nintendo warranty lookup tool. It was still under warranty, so I called Nintendo and they are sending an advance replacement which should be here in three days. So, I'm ending up with a brand spanking new DS Lite for $36 ($31 for the total auction, $5 for the advance replacement). Freakin' A! Actually, I think that $5 Nintendo charge is reversed when I return this one, so $31 total for a brand new system. I just have to wonder why anyone would sell it for that cheap. It was fully charged yet came without a charger. It has a pink stylus. I have learned not to ask questions.

When these are traded in the serial number sticker is ALWAYS removed. Tell me how the warranty works.

It most likely came from one of those 3rd party DS kits that have a bunch of colored styluses.

Yes, however thats not THAT stylus. It was a darker pink and was in the shape of the DS Phat stylus. That looks to be a DS Lite stylus to my eyes.

What do you mean? This was not a trade in or anything....this apparently was the original owner. The serial number was on the back of the unit perfectly. All I did was double check it with the Nintendo warranty lookup tool (on the website) and it told me the warranty was valid. Initially I thought the system was just fine, but the system WAS having a little trouble reading game cards (feels crusty or something) so I called Nintendo, read off the serial, described the problem, and they verified the serial and set up advance replacement. Got the brandy new one and sent the old one back. Done! :)

As for the stylus, it was just a crappy pink third party stylus you'd get in one of those five dollar three packs.

When kids trade them in to my store they always have the serial number removed.

Removed as in scratched or peeled off, or removed as in the ink worn off?

I've seen GBA and DS systems with the stickers still on but the text on 'em is gone. They faded due to the sweaty hands. :\

Yeah, he definitely got a steal. I still have Ds games I can't play because I don't have a Ds. I would have loved to have gotten this deal.

I just find it funny he has the platform listed as ATARI! I mean its not a commen mistake and you really cant mistake Atari for Nintendo so im starting to wonder if this is some sorta Ebay Troll!

If I had to guess, Atari is probably the first on the list for Platform and considering hardly anything is filled in under Item Specifics, he probably didn't even look at the options. Just click click click sell.

Usually the sticker is missing. Sometimes it is worn off and rarely is it there and readable.

Either its stolen or its from kids with sweaty hands.

Most people remove serial numbers when they steal items.
