Sorry about my lack of detail, but I've been looking for this game for quite awhile on my own and I was wondering if I could recruit help.

As I remember, the game features a giant mecha thing with a fair number of weapons that could transform into a motorcycle to zip around the side scrolling levels. I also seem to remember that the mech was solar powered, as there was a cave level where I fell down a pit away from the light and I couldn't boost up high enough for long enough to recharge my batteries to get out of the pit (which had a magical deadly inch of water at the bottom.) I also remember the first 'boss' fight was against a truly massive opponent mech.

That's about all I have, other than the graphics were very well done (I think, it was at least 7 years ago). I'm perfectly willing to answer questions to the best of my ability, so please tell me what you know.

That's definitely Ranger X for Genesis. Pretty swanky game.

Thank you very much!

I've been trying my damnedest for a long time until I thought to ask someone who might actually know.

Ranger-X without any doubt. It is considered one of the best looking games on the SEGA Genesis, arguable on pair with the graphics of similar games on other platforms.

Some persons reported that the original title Ex-Ranza for the Japanese SEGA Mega Drive was even better, but I do not have a valid point at this time to form a opinion about it ... Maybe I would need to get a Japanese cartridge to compare the games!
