Couldn't find another thread for this on the forums here.

Anyone get to see, or have any idea of the size of this tank they are giving away with a special edition pre-order at Bestbuy for Gears of War 2?

I know it is a remote control and not radio control, but anyone dig up any specifics on the tank?

Once again, Gamestop will lose out on a sale, as incentives like this will always trump their "limited edition tin" specials every time.

My little brother is the one getting GoW2, he planned on buying the Lancer along with the LE but now the tank appeals more to him....probably because it doesn't cost $150 http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r25/Athefre/wink.gif

My understanding is that it's pretty small. It's a '$29.99 value', so it can't be very big.

where does this 'understanding' come from? all the geniuses at cheapassgamer?

truth is - no one knows its size. it is *definitely* not small, as a 30$ value implies its at least 6" long. either way, getting this for free is better than paying an extra 70$ for a plastic toy gun that does nothing.

Thanks for the heads up on the preorder. Quick question can you preoder at the store or is it online only?

Are you really that surprised? Atleast your insurance company didn't ask if you wanted the tank included in your coverage.

Based on some things I've overheard at the store from a few people, plus this video:

Well, that pic sold me.

In for one tank!

Now the Godzilla and Wall-E figures on my desk will have something to battle.

gears of war 2 Centaur R/C tank details? how many channels.
I cant find any spec details on the tank...other than size
If its only 2 channel that would be lame.
hope it has real left, right, forward, back controls.
i did see some place that said the turret is controlable.
maybe it is really I/R controlled like the airhogs mini choppers to keep cost down.

Do you have a link to this, it seems like something I would waste my money on.

I hope its not wired. but RC could be radio or remote controlled....???

I know most ads for the IR choppers call them radio control but there is no radio in them.

I preordered mine and you have to get the gears 2 360 case it has a card that must be presented at time of pickup to get the tank. preorder is only 5 bucks.

i ordered mine online from bestbuy.com, pretty excited to get it. i dont wanna bother going to best buy and reserving it... bleh.

the way i see it, im gonna get the game anyway, might as well get a free r/c tank.

also, its definitely NOT wired. hence its r/c means! lol

for 30$ (MSRP) i expect it to be a decent toy.

it should be cool for $30, but r/c can just mean remote control,(wired, radio or Ir)

does the tank preoder have to be done online?

Threads merged.

The pre-order doesn't need to be done online. You can go instore and grab the case that mentions the RC tank and 'reserve' at the register.
