Plays SNES, NES & Genesis titles and includes a light gun, 2 controllers, and stereo AV out. Plays problem titles like Castlevania III and Super Mario RPG.

I like the RetroDuo, but I'm interested in this if they manage to get the light gun working for the light gun titles across all three platforms (The NES Zapper stuff, SNES Superscope and Lethal Enforcers, and whatever the Genesis had).

Also hoping the Genesis side supports Japanese titles, I want to be able to play Turbo Outrun. I was considering a Gen-X or GN Twin just for that purpose, but if this can do it I'd rather go for this one.

Beyond that, I hope they think hard about button mapping so the controller is as suited as possible for each console.

It all depends on what controller port is supported. I hope it's a SNES one.

The FC4 has got to include a TG16/PCE slot.
Oh and I hope this system takes the SNES controllers.

I hope it has S-Video output for all 3 systems. Maybe component?

the FC Twin suported SNES controllers and had thier own with a sorta turbo preset when used with NES games but you could use SNES controllers but without the turbo button activated on them

You'll get Composite video and that's about it.

If this supports Mk.3/Master System games via a converter then that's pretty impressive. All they need to do now is throw in a Hu Card slot and full PC Engine support.

Now play all the previously unplayable games from the other systems that just couldn't live up to the new legacy of the FC3! (Castlevania 3, Mario RPG ETC.)

Finally :D

Well, you can all count on me buying one on day one!

The irony of buying these multi-system-clones is that they're made (in part) to reduce space ... but my console storage space is now beginning to over-flow with them! (Gen Nex, Yobo FC Twin, Retro Duo, Gen-X, etc.)

I wonder how long before some loon tries to go for the gold and makes a massive brick that has cart slots littered around it for every console ever! As well as a CD/DVD drive for every CD/DVD console ever!

If the "previously unplayable games" like Castlevania III will work, does that mean the NES component isn't NoaC, but actual cloned NES hardware (since the patent has expired)?

I was hoping you'd say that after your great threads on other clones. Any chance when this comes out if you'll check if it has a North American/Japan region switch for Genesis titles like the Gen-X apparantly has? I don't want to order until I know that and if Virtua Racer are supported (Don't much care about the NES/SuperNes side as far as playing games goes, though I'm curious how well light gun support turns out).

You forgot about the GN Twin by the way, another NES/Genesis clone that came out after the Gen-X I believe. :)

Also, I hope they sell the light guns seperately for 2 player action.

No, that would be too expensive. All this means is their NOAC doesn't suck as bad as it did in the past when it comes to compatibility.

I thought that the Gen-X was newer than the GN Twin. My local Play N Trade still hasn't gotten any Duos yet, but they always have the FC Twin and the GN Twin, so I assumed they were in the same generation.

Perhaps, I'm no expert and a recent search online didn't yield any real answers.

It was stated it was the more recent of the two at a recent AtariAge thread (Post 8 in the link below this paragraph) where I first heard about the GN Twin (Somehow I apparantly had missed that one, doesn't seem to be discussed nearly as much as every other clone mentioned in the thread so far), so the information could easily be incorrect.

There's also a official Genesis clone with built in titles and a cartridge slot, never heard about this until now. The reviews at Play Asia make it sound like its of pretty poor quality though.

Cool, but I already have ways to play all of those.

When there's a TG16 clone, I'll be interested.

These are finally starting to appear, and seems to only output composite video and the lightgun support is NES only (Not a shock there, but would've been nice to see it be universal across the three systems).

Gah, when will they realize that we would really like to upscale our old games? Make a better product than the original and I'll buy one. My 'Duo is suiting me just fine for now.

Awesome!

Next version should include TG16 Hucard compatibility AND SMS compatibility!

If that happens, I will be in heaven!

Dynacom's Genesis clone, Megavision, has the little switch and plays Virtua Racing. It's quite an old clone. So I guess that wouldn't be a problem for this new system (my 2 cents here; i know NOTHING about these things' insides).

As for the pads, the ideal thing would be an 8-button pad, like Saturn's. Playing Genesis games with a SNES button layout is pretty weird. I guess that's the direction they're heading, though...

Yeah its no problem, but if they didn't even put s-video jacks into it, I don't have much hope for the region switch for Genesis titles.

The pads have a button layout more like 6 button Genesis pads, rather the SuperNes style. Didn't pay enough attention at the pics to see if theres shoulder buttons for SNES titles, but I suspect there are.

The NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System, and TurboGrafx16 all in one system.

All it needs is original controller ports and an expansion for the Sega CD and it would be perfect....
