NES: Top loader CRAZINESS!!!

Can anyone explain the difference between this auction I won:

I mean, you get the same thing (all plastics, papers, etc). And the 2nd one is not new in box. New in box = box is shrink wrapped and never opened. I purchased an NES front loader system from a co-worker, and he kept it as neat as the second one! (and it wasn't "new")

the top one has been opened and played(as shown in the picture) and the bottom one was never opened or played, that's the difference.

as far as i know, systems arent shrink wrapped.
