What are the dimensions of the room? I've been looking at doing something similar myself.

Somehow I never knew about the red (US) PS2. That is quite the amazing collection though. I still weep for sealed games, however. They beg "play me, PA-LAY ME-EE!"

Man, to think that 90% of that stuff is unused. I don't see the point.

*shrug*

But at any rate, it's laid out very, very well. I wonder if cabinets like that is available in the states.

Agreed.

Anyway, it is laid out very well. The shelving units are very nice. And that Alien box set is super sweet.

An impressive collection of boxes and plastic wrap.

Impressive, most impressive. I really like the shelf units you have for your games.

I think I posted a link on the thread itself, but they are from Argos and are perfect for storing games and Dvd's, and the shelves can be adjusted for PlayStation / Dreamcast / DS games etc, or normal Dvd size games and also your standard NES / SNES / N64 / Jaguar games too

very well presented. I see your also a car model fan (me to!) I only have about five though and nothing worth more than 20 bucks.

The models shown are Lego Ferrari's and not actual die-cast or plastic models.

I'm really digging that Alien Quadrilogy.

Cheers! It makes an impressive centrepiece and focal point in the room. Unfortunately, it was too heavy to be put on the glass shelves. I think it looks good where it is though! (It's a bit of an awkward shape and size really)

What are the dimensions of the room? I've been looking at doing something similar myself.

Approx. 3x2 Metres. I had initially intended to double-up on the units and have them floor to ceiling, but unfortunately I was about 2 Inches short, and couldn't cut them down as the glass doors would not have fitted. A real shame that, as they would've looked amazing!

Eventually settled for the display shelves which tend to accommodate the larger box-sets and anything of an abnormal shape or size, whilst the glass shelves are there simply to break up the display and to provide somewhere to display models etc. You probably can't see it quite well in the pictures, but there's a Pink Hello Kitty Dreamcast plus Karaoke add-on displayed on the bottom shelf on the left-hand-side underneath the Lego AT-AT and AT-ST

Kickass!

But I am calling you out on the High School Musical dvd...

Fair enough! Lol! It was just one of those things that I got sucked into due to the fantastic packaging design, and i'm just a sucker for any kind of special collector's edition or anything that comes in unusual packaging!

I wonder if cabinets like that is available in the states.

I think they might be, or something similar. I think I came across a few US sites selling the same style cabinets whilst I was searching the web for something suitable whilst designing the room. Have you tried Googling the name of the cabinets? You may find a US distributor

neat setup, but i'd be paranoid about the leggo star wars vehicals teetering and falling to thier inevitable doom (especialy the chicken walker)

They are pretty stable in their own right, and well balanced, and everything is secured VERY thoroughly! I am very paranoid about such things myself, therefore all fixings used to secure all the shelves are super-strong! Earthquakes aside, they shouldn't move unless otherwise provoked by human intervention.

Even the cabinets are fixed to the walls and also to each other to prevent them from falling over due to the weight they contain

Originally, yes, but it was also released here in the UK. First, as a limited numbered edition, and then again unnumbered. £130 it originally retailed for. HMV then sold off remaining stocks in a sale for just under £50 per unit. I was one of the fools who paid £130 for it just weeks before it dropped in price. D'oh!

I will have to give this a good check after work today, the words are making me way too curious (unless you have the pics posted on places other than facebook).

If facebook only, I will edit this post (as to not bump 500 times) sometime tonight.

EDIT: I got home and looked at the pics.

That sealed DC collection made me horny a little bit, I am not going to lie. Sealed DC games have a strange effect on me like that.

Wow, that's a whole lot of entertainment going to waste. If that's your thing though, then congrats, it's an impressive collection either way.

Your shelving and cabinets are really freaking nice too.

How much does your mom charge you to live in the basement? J/K. Anyway, have fun, um, not playing those games ect.

To each his own i guess.
