I just picked up Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube.

For multiplayer mode, it requires each player to have a Gameboy Advance to play.

What other Gamecube games hook up w/ a Game Boy Advance for this sort of gameplay?

Thanks,
-Jason

Pac-Man vs. is the best reason to still keep a Game Boy connected to a Game Cube.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure uses the GBA link cable as well.

Zelda: Wind Waker lets you connect it; you can use tingle to drop bombs on enemies. Very helpful in some of the more crowded areas of certain dungeons. Requires a friend, though.

Tetra's Trackers was supposed to, I think.

But wasn't that canceled?

I believe Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance used it as well to get some extra stuff in the Gameboy version. Most of the other games where covered, but I think most Nintendo games could use them for something. Outside Nintendo games though, I think Final Fantasy was the only major game.

Splinter Cell and Pandora Tomorrow both used it to provide a neat little radar unavailable in the other versions. Shame that the GC versions of both games are otherwise the buggiest ones and both lack levels found in the PS2 releases (which were later made available for free over XBL for the Xbox versions, IIRC).

When you connected a beaten Metroid Fusion to Metroid Prime, I believe you unlocked the original Metroid.

There is a wikipedia link that lists games that use the cable. I don't know how reliable it is, but should help out.

Huh...I was not aware of the Wario Ware / Wario Land connection.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for the GC would connect with PoP for the GBA to give you perpetual health regeneration. You could also find these boxes in particular places with the link-up that would unlock the original Price of Persia...probably emulated.

EDIT: And of course it should be obvious, but Pokemon Colosseum and PC: XD Gale of Darkness both connected to the Pokemon GBA games. The Jirachi bonus disc also connected with the GBA games so that you could download that promo Pokemon to it.

The GBA Open golf game (forget what it was called) had the option in it as well.

Mario Golf: Advance tour.

Billy Hatcher used it, you could download NiGHTS to your GBA. That was originally available through PSO.

Thanks for all the tips. My wife used to be into World of Warcraft, so I picked up a few fantasy RPGs suggested by you guys:

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Zelda: Four Swordsmen
Zelda: Wind Waker

I want to pick the best one to really draw her in & get her into this. Any recommendations on which one is the best to start with?

Thanks,
-Jason
