Let this thread stand for all those would would publicly state their love of a universally hated arcade game. So common guys time to get out of the cabinet, what terrible arcade games do you love?

never played the arcade but did take the time to beat the snes version. as far as bad arcades go I tend to like a lot of bad arcades. Its just a diffrent experiance if your playing fighting golf or a decent game. My perosnal fav bad arcade would have to be jurasic park.

Never actually played it, but it can't be better than Journey! Are there any other bands with video games? I always wanted a Pink Floyd game where you get to fight the pig at the end.

Me and my bro loved it and played the hell out of in in the arcade, we almost beat it with saving all the members of the band but I dropped the ball in the level with the wooden box maze

The Journey arcade game was my guilty pleasure back in the day.

I'm not entirely sure what most people think constitutes a terrible arcade game but...
HIPPODROME
- A 2D, sort-of fighting game with a Rygar-esque fantasy theme. You play a warrior facing off against opponents one-on-one (I think, it has been 15+ years since I've played it). Opposition includes a flying gargoyle and Medusa with a giant sprite-constructed tail that she whips around. I remember the control being somewhat shoddy, but the interesting graphics kept me pumping tokens in.
PRIMAL RAGE
- Now, I always considered this a really good arcade game. Apparently most people don't think so? It seems to get alot of snarky comments when discussed in forums. I always wanted a sequel. Dinosaurs make everything cooler.

Loved Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom as a kid.
A few years back I was playing quite a bit of Cabela Big Game Hunter.

I still love Art of Fighting 1 and 2. I've been playing as King since 1992. 16 years of Muay Thai crossdressing asskicking. Hell yeah.

There is a sequel, but they never released it because the first one was a complete mess and a total flop in the arcades.

I am amused by the fact that in all the years I went to Wizzards arcade, I never saw a single person play Revolution X.

I'll gladly admit that I absolutely loved Revolution X when it was released. Sure it was cheesy, but back in the early 90's few things were more badass than a group of evil SWAT-style goons on rollerblades being blasted to death with CDs.
Ridiculus? Sure, but I like it that way.
My guilty pleasure would probably be Ka-Ge-Ki: Fists of Steel, an atrocious super deformed brawler from Taito. The gameplay was damn unbalanced and cheap, and the visual style was pretty horrible (at least in my opinion), but I'll be damned if I didn't play the hell out of it.

Fast and Furious and Need for Speed Underground
Finally, I don't have to hang my head and can proudly say that I play those 2 and enjoy them. Oh, I play them everytime I go to the Arcade.
No, not F&F:Superbikes. I am not that low. If I want superbikes, I will play ManxTT.
It feels nice coming out of the cabinet. I play Fast and Furious and Need for Speed Underground in the Arcades and enjoy it.

I own and love Donkey Kong 3. It seems to get a bad rap from a lot of people so I think that it belongs on this list. Most people that I talk to will know all about DK and DK Jr but when you mention DK3 they have no clue what you are talking about. Are there any more DK3 fans around?

Waku Waku 7 for the Neo Geo.
I was mocked for buying the MVS kit.

Really? From all of my experience WW7 has gotten nothing but praise. Definitely one of my favorite titles on the Neo.

WWF Wrestlemania.
Wrestling fans seem to hate it even more than everyone else, but I've always liked it more than any other wrestling game.

Yeah, I always liked DK3. Most people hate it because it's completely different from the first two, and they can't figure it out.
In reality, DK3 is nothing more than a well-disgused Galaga clone, but still a fun game.

And it's a really fun Galaga clone. I actually prefer it over Galaga.

I sadly used to love Rev-X back in college as well. I have a buddy who works at Midway and even the people who worked on the game admit how horrible it was. It was originally supposed to be a differently themed game, but the Aerosmith tie-in came about and it ended up being what it is (a game that makes no sense). T-2 which uses the same engine is so much better.

Pac-Man on the 2600. wait, wrong way. But still, I like it.
Revolution-X is kinda fun too, in a completely insane in hindsight kind of way.

I only had the INTV growing up, so the Donkey Kong on there was the one that got me hooked on the game. I haven't played it since, so I don't know how it stands up. Burgertime on the INTV is still my favorite port...I thought the NES version was garbage.

I've got one for you, street fighter the movie. I actually enjoyed this game, that being said i've never been a huge street fighter fan and am certainly no purist. And while i'm dropping these might as well add in that i also enjoyed the journey game, its supreme cheesyness was matched only by its mediocre genre defying gameplay.
