View Full Version : SOUTH JERSEY CLASSIC - Saturday, Nov. 1 - Hallowiin Edition

At last month's South Jersey Classic fun was had by all. Besides the normal repetoire of game-playing, eating, drinking, trading, and being merry, SJC regular Allec (DJBeatMongrel) held the "Fight Like a Girl" all-girl 2D fighting tournament. While some had a problem with the rules, it was still a kick-ass multi-round tournament and because the tournament was so awesome I've decided to hold my own.

I'm still working out the details, but because SJC will be on the day after All Hallows' Eve, I will be hosting GnawRadar's Hallowiin Zombie Murder Extravaganza! It will be a multi-game/multi-round tourney and so far on the list we have: Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition: Mercenaries mode high score competition, House of the Dead high score, and possibly Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles high score/grade. As you can see it is mostly a light-gun/high score blowout, but I still need to see if some of the games won't work out for the tournament and might be omitted. I'm also thinking about throwing in a completely different game on the Wii for the final round. As for prizes, that depends on how much I want to spend, so far I will definitely have prizes for first and second place, but I might have other prizes to give away as well. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to post them and I'll finalize the list and details for SJC.

There will also be a costume contest at SJC so be sure to dress up, and don't hold back, go balls deep as some might say! See you there!

Actually, Ghost Squad was on the original line-up, until I realized there wasn't any Zombie Murder, I removed it.

I will not be there this time, its the same day as my second drama performance at school. Perhaps if there is time either before or after I might show up but I doubt it.

Ugh, my head nearly rolled off my shoulders. I am going to be in North Jersey helping out with MangaNext.

Ya'll better get pictures. I still don't know if I am going to be an A/V guy or a Video Game room guy, should it be Videogames, I'll take a Camera and light it up.

I am debating on coming to this you guys almost have me convinced. If it werent for the 8 shows I have to go to between now and halloween and the like 4 the week after I would say definate but yeah bands like to play all at once!

Awesome. It's great to hear that there is the possibility of new faces to South Jersey Classic! Even though some of our regulars will not be in attendance, we should still have a pretty sweet time. As refan had requested earlier, I don't believe I'll be able to make a sweet flyer for this month, but I hope everyone still has fun with the tournament nonetheless.

Anyhoo, 2 days until SJC! Don't forget to come in costume and bring your trades!

hell I got a very rare first sat off so I know im sure as hell spending some if not most of the day there ill be bringing maybe 2 consoles of my own each with a wide selection of v.s. fighting games all of them Japanese or original Japanese versions of stuff we got later like Xmen Children of the Atom and so forth and so on.

Hey now iv been there a few times before (well if an hour or 2 actually count as being there) and have purchased a few games from a few boxes including Jeremys PS1 and a few random things from Jims box. I think that should count for something atleast but ill probably come around 6ish if its a sat I dont have off from work and on the rare occasion im off that Sat ill make sure I get there around 11-12 next time.
