I would like to sell my converter, but I don't think it has any worth in the US... should I try to sell it still or just trash it?

No kidding. Never trash something like that. It may not be worth a lot of money but there are a lot of people out there who would love to have it. You just found two people in this thread alone. If it isn't worth enough to make it worth your time, sell it as a favor to whoever wants it.
