Who here plays World of Warcraft?

I was just curious to know who else plays World of Warcraft. I play a druid and a warlock on the Zuluhed server. Anyone else play on Zuluhed? So yeah, if you have any interesting WoW stories or anything, feel free to share them here.

I used to play a 70 UD Mage on Ursin. I stopped 2-3 months ago.

Went pretty far in PvE, 4/6 Sunwell Plateau.

But raiding 4-5 times a week for ±5h each sessions burned me out.

70 mage/70 shaman/55 druid. Only raided with the mage but never got past T5 content because the guild me and my RL friends at the beginning of the year ran got tired of 10 people carrying 15 other idiots to loot. Can I say we're thrilled everything can be 10 man in WotLK? Server is Sen'Jin.

Played an initial 3 month spurt getting a hunter to 50. Then rejoined 6 months later, playing 4 months this time - taking him to 70 and just about getting ready to raid when other commitments took over.

I plan to play again around Christmas for another few months, exploring the new expansion.

I played the beta for two days back in college and stopped when I realized there was no way I could buy this game. I really enjoyed it and it would just waste too much of my time if I actually subscribed.

Now I'm out of school, though, and kind of want to check it out again. I hate the idea of paying to play a game I already bought, but I might check it out for a few months.

I played heavily for 2 years but got out when I realized that I'd never be satisfied with my gear. I hated PvP, and that's where most of the best gear was. To top it all off I'd recently been promoted and work was taking too much time. I was thinking I'd get back in for the Xpac, but I've decided not to. I'm going to waste my money, and time, on other things.

Played from beta until May of 2007 and sold my account for $600 and bought a PS3. I started the game again in December of 2007 and played for two months and quit again. I'm debating whether or not to come back for Wrath of the Lich King.

Thunderhorn and playing since launch. Currently grinding the Baron's mount since they upped the drop rate. More of a long time casual player than anything else. I don't raid except for the ocassional pvp and regular 5 mans with my rl family and friends. I do have a buttload of gold though; around 55k between my main and alts.

I played briefly about a year ago, got to 24 before I stopped. Rolled a rouge, and I didn't realize I hated the class until I'd invested too much time into it.

Started back up late September in prep for WotLK, got a lvl 40 Ret Paladin right now. Having a lot of fun with this this go-round. Also doing a MM Hunter and just started a Fire Mage.

It's kinda funny since I usually hate RPGs, but love WoW.

i played when the game first came out, for about 3 or 4 months. then i realized how sad and pathetic and antisocial my life and the life of those who played with me had become so we quit. i suggest you follow suit. we pvp/PK'd mostly though, i believe i had a fire mage and a hunter i abandoned for the mage.

I'm kind of the opposite of oobgarm, I love RPGs, but for some reason I couldn't get into WoW or EVE Online.

Been playing almost since launch. I almost didn't get into the game but we had a copy of the Collector's Edition at work and I snapped it up on my cousin's recommendation. I initially started out as Alliance but could not get into the game at all and quit shortly before my free month was up and retreated back to Everquest, which I had played for 5 years at that point.

My cousin talked me back into playing and suggested I try playing on the Horde side. I was leery at first but gave it a try and got right into the game and haven't looked back since. No offense to Alliance players but I could never get into playing on that side fully after numerous tries since my initial experience (your cities are damn impossible to navigate :p ).

The bulk of my time is spent on the Malygos realm. My highest characters are both 65, a Hunter and a Priest. I have no level 70 characters and get heckled by my guildies on a regular basis as a result. I have all 10 slots filled on that server, with the other 8 slots filled up with Horde characters for every other class except Death Knight because I have 2 Priests (and won't delete the lower level one because of the time I put into him). My Warrior is level 42 and the other 7 are all level 41 (I got them all to level 40 so I could do one of the in game events :drinking:).

I do have some Alliance characters on another server, Elune, because the guild I'm in on Malygos was a pretty big one on Everquest and a chunk of them went to Elune to play on Alliance side while another chunk went to Malygos to play Horde. I pop on there every blue moon but I think the highest level I've obtained there is 11. I'm 90% casual in my gameplay, I'm more concerned with obtaining a bajillion pets/companions than I am the latest gear from Mob X in Instance Y. :smash:

Just to update my last post, I did indeed start playing again and went from 70-80 in just under a week My main is a Blood Elf Rogue on Stormreaver.

I have a 71 death knight and a 70 warlock on Maelstrom, and a 60 warrior on drak'theron or whatever its called.

With the battle chest being twenty bucks at gamestop I figured I'd give it another go around. We'll see how it goes but I'm notoriously anti-social and if I can't solo to 80 I don't know how I'll ever get there. We'll see. :/

You'll have no trouble whatsoever soloing to 80. WoW is the most solo-friendly MMORPG there is.

This may all just be coincidence, but a friend of mine who's usually on AIM every day mentioned in passing a week or so ago that he finally decided to give WoW a try.

You'll have no trouble whatsoever soloing to 80. WoW is the most solo-friendly MMORPG there is.

I took a warrior from level 1 to 70 and got my epic mount in the span of 3 months. I didn't bother with instances very much until the end game (which was before Lich King came out) but I did try as many as I could at least once just to say I had seen most of what the game had to offer. It does help, however, to quest with at least one other person. Things move along much faster.

It's a serious time sink and I dropped it as soon as my initial subscription, which had been a gift, ran out.

So I'm bringing this back not to be a necroposter but because I just started the game when this thread died off. The one thing I didn't expect to happen when I started the trial was the stop in my interest in collecting (as evident by my lack of posts) or even playing console games. The kids use the consoles now.

I started after WOTLK came out and occassionaly wish i could have done the vanilla WOW raids. Anyway, I'm at the point where I can participate in current raids but don't have a ton of time on my hands so that should keep me busy in the game until the expansion comes out next year.

Achika and I quit a few months back. Well, I completely quit. Which is why I am finally back on DP. Running a raiding guild sucked balls.

Achi has stayed with it for holiday events and pets. She's now at 102 pets. :P

Will we be back for Cataclysm? If FFXIV beats it out the gate, then no.

10man Sarth3D. It's easy to get if you zerg it and your raid isn't totally braindead. I'm sure with gear levels as they are at the current patch, you probably can take any combo of melee/caster and pull it off.

So true. Once I started playing (last year towards the end of TBC around patch 2.3 I think) that was kinda the end for my classic gaming collection. In fact I sold everything earlier this year on ebay and I have no regrets. Well truth be told I kinda had to sell it since I moved to Japan. But it was too much stuff (I even had a storage unit for the collection).

I only joined a real guild two months ago. Before that I never really had a set schedule that I could commit to trying to raid so I didn't start until recently. I still haven't seen Naxx though I've done 25m Toc and Uld (just can't ever find a group for naxx...). I want that Champion of Frozen waste title and I just need those 3 raids (naxx, maly and sarth). I have done Ony though and got lucky getting the helm for my Warrior though it looks silly.

I got a Figureprint made for my Warrior too last year. I'll post a pic if anyones interested.
