Can't Get the Guitar to Sync for GH: Aerosmith (PS3)

I've been trying to sync my guitar for GH: Aerosmith on my PS3 for about the last 20 minutes and it will sort of sync for second or two but go right back out of sync. I'm getting incredibly frustrated with it and would appreciate anyone's help in getting it to work correctly. This is the first time I've tried to sync up a wireless guitar but I've been following the instructions. HELP!!

I had the same problem with Buzz! for PS3. Struggled for over an hour to get those damn controllers to sync up before I gave up and just returned the damn game. You'd think they'd make it easier or something.

edit - maybe us Okies are just retarded.

As dumb as it sounds - Have you tried new batteries? I had this problem with my guitar and replacing batteries worked for me. Just a suggestion.

I put in the ones that came with it but will try the trading out trick. Hopefully that will do it.
