Classic Gaming Halloween Costumes!!

OK!! It's that time of year! Any true video game collector/nerd/lover has to dress up like a video game character for Halloween. It's a rule. So, what are you going to be for Halloween this year? Please keep this thread limited to video game characters.

My wife and I dressed up like Ryu and Chun Li this year. We went to a party last night, and she was a hit! No one cared about Ryu :(. Her makeup, hair, and dress were fantastic!

My costume this year was Vincent of FFVII.

However, the costume itself is more of a hybrid of FF7 Vincent and Dirge of Cerberus vincent. A few minor changes were made to make him more "pirate" than "ninja", too, since pirates are obviously cooler.

I actually won a costume contest for my jedi costume (it also helps that I watched 1 too many episodes of ninja turtles when I was a kid so I was spinning around 2 toy lightsabers all crazy ninja like too).

Nice costume! Did everyone get it? I got it right away. I wonder how the non-gaming nation takes to our costumes. For example, the Midna costume is fantastic. However, how many people just stared and thought, "What?"

Most people got our Street Fighter costumes. One girl at the grocery store (yes, we walked around a grocery store buying booze and candy) asked us, "Are you anime?"
"No, we're Ryu and Chun Li from Street Fighter."
"Is that anime?"
"Well, it was adapted into a series of anime... [LONG STORY GOES HERE]."

Haha, she got a thorough explanation. Poor girl.

Well, luckily, the only time she wore the Midna costume (with blue body paint and all) besides our own Hallo(Wii)n party was to an anime convention. There weren't many folks there who didn't get the costume.

Nah, not everyone got it. But as soon as I said I was the main hero from RE4, someone said "He's Leon!" A few othes at the party asked who I was, if my guns were real (no, but my 10" knife was), or if I was a cop!

Anyway, I had two guns (one with a laser pointer), a SWAT belt/shoulder strap, a survival knife attached upside down, a leg strap, a real B1 Bomber jacket, combat boots, steel fingerless SAP gloves, and a blonde wig. I never felt so cool in my life. There even was a couple dressed like zombies, so I went up to them and pretended to waste them. :)
