I am playing the game with my son, and have run across a difficult part..for me anyway. I am on the Last race of the Rustbucket and need to win that, but always come up short because Emma always speeds past me to the finish line. any tricks or hints or whatever to help me win? thanks

Put it on easy :)
I think you can switch difficulty in game, but we started it on easy from the beginning. I don't think anything changes or anything different unlocks across the different difficulty settings, except for maybe unlocking a 'very hard' setting for beating it on hard, it's pretty much the only thing my son and I don't have unlocked from playing through it on easy.
I actually thought the Mater rustbucket races were the best designed tracks in the games, with all the garbage, etc on the track. I can''t remember, but at that point in the game don't you have two out of the three levels of boost? I'd say save at least one bar of turbo for that last stretch of track.
I was really hoping this one would be easy for a 3 year old to play, but it's kinda tough sometimes.
I'm on the ps3 version for what it's worth.
