hey, I'm looking for a new ds game to play something that's not very well live action. I tend to play pokemon and sudoku on my ds to kill time but not something I have to pay close attention too. I keep seeing this and it seems like it might be fun so what has everyone else thought of it. Open to other sugestions on ds games of any kind btw. If you have this game and want to get rid of it check out my fs/ft list that keeps growing as I slowly hate ebay more and more.
It's alright, but nothing special. If you remember those Highlights magazines as a kid where you'd have to find lots of hidden objects within a picture, it's kinda like that. It's timed, and there are a few puzzles thrown in as well to change things up a bit. I was hoping that there'd be more adventure elements, like in Hotel Dusk, Trace Memory or the Phoenix Wright games, but there really wasn't.

Think I-Spy. I played through it, and while at first it was alright, screens started to repeat, and in some cases I was finding the same items again on the same screens. My other beef with the game was that there were lots of things that were just plain hard to see. Using the 'tools' didn't help, because the field was just too dark to see entire portions of the field.
That said, I did beat it (took about 6-8 hours), and the story was slightly interesting. I felt alright by the purchase only because it was 19 bucks and the fact that i'm a DS whore. If you can find it for 10, and like the I-Spy search out games, its an alright purchase.
If you really like these games, i'd recommend Quick Spot by NamcoBandai (been out about a year, not easy to find now) as it had more depth to it.

Nah, it's a pretty tedious game. If you want something like Hotel Dusk you'll be out of luck. There's not much like that. However, I would recommend as interesting and similar to HD in some respects:
Trace Memory
Time Hollow
The Phoenix Wright Trilogy
All of those are pretty damned good.
