You skipped the Xbox Controller S (no, it's not the same as the 360 controller). That one's my favorite, although I also have a special place in my heart for the Saturn analog pad.

The n64 was the first right? and still great. Dreamcast and wii...meh. I love the 360 controller

Dual Shock 3 is my favorite.

I never really liked the N64 controller. The Wavebird however is absolutely brilliant, and I love the wireless X360 controller.

As weird as using the Dreamcast and N64 controllers were, I didn't mind using the Dreamcast one. While I love the dual shock design, I rarely used the analog sticks on the PS1 and only like 30% of the time on my PS2. I think the xbox/xbox 360 have the best analog sticks as far as comfortability go. Also, by xbox I mean the controller "s", which you should have added to the list:(

I would vote for the 360 controller except the anolog nub inverts and makes my thumb sore quickly so I will have to take the dual shock.

Xbox 360, hands down. As much as I love my PS3, I hate the Dualshock design.

You missed out Vectrex and Atari 5200! Still, I voted for Gamecube, best stick I've ever used, no complaints (unlike the god awful Dual Shock sticks for example) and more accurate imo than the 360 stick.

The analog on the N64 pad is junk, made only more painfully obvious by going back and attempting to use it now a days (especially compared to the Saturn and PS1 dual analog and dual shock controllers). The Dreamcast controller is just a massive failure as well and I just can't get into the Wii classic controller.

+yea, wtf missing options? :(

one more vote for the 360 pad.

n64 was limited by the either/or dpad and analog divide. dc pad was an exercise in wrist strain (and wishing for another analog stick). gamecube pad is uncomfortably small, despite me having fairly small hands. dualshock is the standard, but badly needs an ergo upgrade (logitech ps2 pads are far superior). haven't tried the duke or the wii pad (hehe) but if the shoulder buttons are like the snes pad i'll pass.

N64 and Dual Shock for me.

A 360 Controller is fine too

Definitely the 360 - most comfortable and natural to hold and everything just seems to be in the perfect place.

360 for me. I also like the ps2 pad (haven't used the Dual Shock 3 yet). The 64 controller... not so much.

I went for Dreamcast purely because it's a lot sturdier than PS2/3 pads, and the VMU screen was such an innovative idea I'm amazed no one's ripped it off yet. I do agree the 360's thumbsticks are sweet though.

It was a tie between the Gamecube controller, specifically the Wavebird, and the XBOX 360 wireless controller, but I went with the GC controller. I swung that way because I've used the GC controller more and have had more fun times with it thus far.

Gamecube controller by far. I just think it was the most comfortable. I like the Dreamcast controller too, but it doesn't even compare to the Gamecube ones.

I have to give some love to the n64 controller. Everyone seems to either love it or hate it. I guess it really comes down to what you get used to. When I first used it, it seemed weird. But after putting in so many hours with 007 and mario kart I really like it.

I would have to say the 360 controller is my next up. It was a huge improvement over the original xbox controllers, especially those crazy huge ones that only a yeti could fit their hands around.

DC Stick FTW!

I liked the controller because it was like a smaller version of the 3-D pad for Saturn.

Even though I hate the d-pad on it, the 360 controller is my selection. The Xbox controller S is a close 2nd, but I liked how they adjusted the button placement on the 360 for the white and black button to the shoulder area above the triggers.

I was always a big fan of PS2 analog controller. It just feels right.

I voted for Gamecube, second would have been Wii Classic. My least favorite on the list is the 360 controller.

I like the GameCube controller because it feels like it was built for human hands. The 360 (and original Xbox) controller feels like it was made for Gorrillas, the buttons feel stiff and cheap, and I hate the stick, my thumb slides off the end of it while playing, making me have to re-adjust, I thought the dots were supposed to prevent that. Same stick problems with the PS/2 controllers even though the 360 sticks are inverted versions. I like the new Nintendo design of having a ring, it keeps the thumb from sliding off.

For me:

#1. GameCube
#2. N64

The Dreamcast controller was decent, but it's the only one I've ever used where the wire comes out the bottom instead of the top. That always bothered me.

I was very suprised when I bought a Neo Geo CD recently. The directional pad with the microswitches really feels nice.

I had to vote "OTHER" and I am ashamed that you didn't include the Saturn analog controller. It's easily the best analog controller ever made. Sure, it didn't look that cool, but it was VERY intuitive.

First, it pioneered the analog shoulder triggers that the Dreamcast, Xbox, 360 and Gamecube went on to implement.

Second, it's the ONLY pack-in analog controller to retain a true 6 button arcade layout.

Third, it felt silky smooth because it didnt use a klaky analog "stick" and instead opted for the trackball esque analog ball. It was brilliant and I still wish the DC controller had inherited more of its features.

To be honest, I can't believe the love for the anolog stick on the Gamecube. The fact that the stick is housed in that octagon shape limits your ability to smoothly turn the controller around 360 degrees. Anybody that's played NiIGHTS knows what I'm talking about.

My favorite has always been the Saturn pad.

The focus is on console analog controllers as a whole, not just the analog stick and Gamecube is absolutely the most comfotable bad ass design in a analog controller ever imo. Sometimes when i'm using it I forget I even have a controller in my hands at all.

Navigating the menus and fighting in Phantasy Star Online with both the sticks is nirvana and the positioning of the sticks makes it so natural. The sunk in triggers also just make sense to me and feel great.

It just all works as a whole, a very natural controller, you fingers usually always land where they are supposed to.
