Also of that list, were there any stinkers?

I compiled this from the net so I can't vouch for the veracity but it sounds about right.
Requires 4mb expansion:
Dungeons & Dragons Collection (Disc 2 only)
Final Fight Revenge
Friends: Seishun no Kagayaki**
Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
Noёl 3**
Street Fighter Zero 3
Super Real Mahjong P7
Vampire Savior
Xmen vs Street Fighter
Doesn't require 4mb expansion but can use it:
Astra Superstars
Pia Welcome to Carrot 2
Pocket Fighter*
Requires 1mb expansion:
Fatal Fury 3
Fighters History Dynamite
Friends: Seishun no Kagayaki**
Groove on Fight
King of Fighters '96
King of Fighters '97
Metal Slug
Noёl 3**
Ragnagard
Real Bout Fatal Fury
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
Samurai Showdown III
Samuari Showdown IV
Super Real Mahjong P7
Waku Waku 7
Does not require 1mb expansion but can use it:
Cotton 2
Cyberbots
Marvel Super Heroes
Pocket Fighter*
*Pocket Fighter seems to be the most versatile of all these games. It can apparently be used without a cart, with 1mb expansion, or 4mb expansion which I suppose gradually makes the game better.
**I don't know if Friends: Seishun no Kagayaki and Noёl 3 can use a 4mb expansion for increased performance over the 1mb one or if they work the same with a 4mb cart as they would with just 1mb expansion. In fact, I don't know if they require the carts at all.
Just as an FYI, with the right cart all the games can work just fine but there are some inferior 4mb carts that will cause the 1mb games to glitch up.

If memory serves me right, KOF '96 needs it's own ROM card to work, which actually holds some of the game's data. I've got one around here somewhere, but it's in storage at the moment...

I think you're thinking of King of Fighters '95.

I found out about KOF 95 after buying it. From what I can tell, it can only be played on an internally modded Saturn (ie not Action Replay Plus because the slot is full) or an imported Saturn.
Also, I have Pocket Fighter and the only difference I have noticed is faster loading times and what seems to be a slight upgrade in the speed of the game. Using an Action Replay 4-1. Anyone else ?

well either Ragnagard doesn't really require any RAM expansion, or my Sega Satellite must include some RAM that I didn't know about... I've played the game all the way through without any problems using the Satellite converter

Does anyone know if the boxed version came with obi strips? If so, would it have went around the outside of the box or inside around the disc? I've never purchased a boxed game that was new.
Also, are the inside cases only supposed to have the Manual and game disc or should there be a back insert? My policenauts is like a complete game inside a box. My copies of X-Men vs. SF and KOf '95 and '96 just have the manual and disc in a case. Always wondered about this.
