Well, I started playing this from the Xbox Live Arcade, and in the second mission in Episode 1, "Red Light Distric", I went into these sewers, and I can't find my way out. I really went all around the sewer (small area from what I see), and can't find an exit. Help please.

You have to use the jetpack and fly back up the hole you fell down through.

Yeah for some reason the other entrance to that area only opens from the other side (which is in the bathroom of the bar), I guess it's key related, but if you're savvy enough to find that area then being able to bypass the key door wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Does the XBLA version allow free-look, or is it still rail shooting like the PC version?

PC version supported freelook/+mlook, you just had to hit a key to enable it (I think it was "m" by default"). Otherwise you had to use pageup/pagedn/home/end to look/glance up and down.

Also, I could have sworn that that door on the other side of the sewers could be triggered from either the sewer or the bathroom side.

I can't wait to play the XBLA version of the game. Lord knows I love me some Duke Nukem 3D.

It's pretty awesome. The graphics are improved (just a little) and it's a blast playing with the 360 controller.

Thanks, I didn't even notice I picked up a Jet Pack.

Remember that you can conserve fuel and eliminate fall damage if you flick it on right before you hit the ground. You can also get around fall damage by planting laser trip mines on the wall (it resets your fall height each time). Not sure if they patched around that in the XBLA version, but it was a fun trick to exploit in the PC version.

Man, I really want to play through Duke Nukem 3D again, but I've already played through three different versions in the last year (hell, two in the last month or so) and a couple of the expansion packs. I don't want to burn myself out or anything :(

Still gotta check out that new episode for Total Meltdown and force myself through the Game.com version....

It should be. It only unlocks from the bathroom side of the wall, then it's operable from both sides.

It should just open. You don't bypass anything crazy since to even go down into the sewer you pass that key card to the building there anyway.

I've been thinking about installing it on my Powerbook again, since I've just re-installed OS 9 Classic on it. I really want to play the game mod again that turns it into a fantastic recreation of the hotel from The Shining, with Jack Nicholsons coming at you with axes. :)
