All I can think of are Baldur's Gate and Evergrace (not sure if it was good though). I prefer Western over Eastern and appreciate your guy's help. You can throw in PSOne games too.

Thanks in advance.

Western RPGs? I don't remember anyone wearing stetsons and spurs in those games...

I'm going to go with "non asian developed rpgs" as the definition here?

There's The Bard's Tale and The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, though both are available on other systems. Some people praise Summoner 2 (the first one is terrible), which is also on the GameCube.

It's hard to find Western-made RPGs that were exclusive to the PS2. You could try Sony's Everquest spin-offs (Champions of Norrath, etc.). Atlus released a port of Wizardry, too, but it was done by a filthy heathen Japanese developer.

Evergrace was developed in Japan, by the way.

Warriors of Might & Magic was alright.

Stay far, far away from Ever Grace, though.

How about Shadow Hearts: From the New World or Wild Arms F, 3, 4, & 5?

As far as a serious answer is concerned... get an Xbox? The games available for PS2 are pretty lousy. Bard's Tale is hilarious though.

Xbox has Morrowind, Arx Fatalis (more Morrowind), Knights of the Old Republic, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Jade Empire, Sudeki (Eastern Style wanna-be though), Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (Final Fantasy clone), Fable, & Bard's Tale. Clearly the systems for the wins. :P

PSOne has King's Field 1 & 2, Shadow Madness, Diablo & Dark Stone.

King's Field is like a lite Elder Scrolls adventure, Shadow Madness is a Eastern Style FF7 clone (guessing you wouldn't like it), Diablo is Diablo, and Darkstone is more Diablo.

Is this the thread where we talk about Heroes of Motherfucking Might and Magic (http://www.mobygames.com/game/heroes-of-might-and-magic-quest-for-the-dragonbone-staff) or is this not the thread where we get to include fun turn based strategy games (with light role playing elements) with RPGs for the sake of bulking up the list?

Wow. I didn't know King's Bounty was Might & Magic.

The best one is Deus Ex, but I guess that doesn't do you much good because there is a superior PC version. Although, honestly, I liked the inventory management system on the PS2 better. It was just simpler and I didn't have to move items around like puzzle pieces to try to get them to fit.

If only it were possible to inverse the Y axis when you plugged in a USB mouse. :(
(at least, I don't recall being able to flip the y axis)

They still did a pretty damn good job overhauling the models and music. And hey, it turned out better than the PS2 port of Rune did.
