Just listed my snes collection below ( the ones asterisked as the ones i am missing) Basically my collection involves getting the games for the snes that are worth playing, so no bebes kids etc, i have a few questions for snes fans out there

1. what games are missing from my list, what games are good for the snes that i have missed out, let me know which ones and why they should be included

2. what games should not be on my list, are there any real stinkers on it that should not be there

You need to add tecmo super bowl II and III to your collection. Both are great football games.

If you enjoyed Cybernator, it has a spiritual successor in Metal Warriors. Pricey but a kick ass game.

I was gonna throw my hat in for Ninja Warriors and Shadowrun, but, they are already on there. Syndicate is also as a pretty cool game. I believe there are versions on other systems that are better though.

Games you should buy. These are good games off the top of my head that aren't on your list.

Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together(jp)
Breath of Fire 2
Joe and Mac 1 and 2
Top Gear 2
E.V.O.
Dragon Quest 3(jp)

I agree Metal Warriors as well. Also, with Syndicate, I've only played the PSX Syndicate Wars for PSX and then Syndicate for SNES. The PSX game is far better, but probably a sequel instead of the same game(didn't play much of the SNES game.)

It may be a bit hard to find, but I think that Orge Battle is excellent. Definitely worth the money.

i have played most of them, just looking for aome advice on decent games i might have missedThen why do you need to ask other people whether some of the games that you've played are "real stinkers" ? I find this confusing.

Super Adventure Island II - To me, a very underrated gem of a game. Some people have considered putting it under the RPG category.

QFT.

I never got the whole "rate my collection" business. Are you in this hobby for the pleasure, or the glory?

Also, I agree with Jorpho. You can do your own research and figure out which games are worth buying. Especially when you own as many games as you do, you should definitely know what you like better than any of us could tell you what you might like. I understand newcomers asking for help, but you have many games you think you might want already, therefore I'm sure you can do the homework yourself. At least, that's what I found to be VERY satisfying about this hobby, was finding and crafting my own want list... so that when I bought and finally played a wanted game... it was all the more rewarding. Especially if the game turned out to be a gem.

EDIT: I'll give you this tip. AVOID SNES Alien vs. Predator at ALL costs.

Now, trust me, do your own research. It's much more rewarding than asking for other people's opinions that may not even match your own.

Add TMNT 4: Turtles in Time to your platformer section and add Speed Racer to your racing section. If you want to do imports, you have alot of Dragon Ball Z fighting games to choose from, but I'd start with DBZ: Hyper Dimension.

HAHAHHAHA SHaq Fu??? Why not get the game Ballz as well! That's a true classic!

Agreed with Steven and Jorpho.

(And yes, do stay away from SNES Alien vs. Predator - it's not Bebe's Kids, but it's still a very lame and boring beat 'em up.)

Everyone's talking about robo2's new SNES collection for 2008, and not without some cause. I was pleased to find that the assemblage boasts an extensive array of features for both children and older guests, even though their arrangement and decor will seem somewhat jejune and unambitious in light of the latest SNES collections on the market. Flawless? No, but I recommend robo2's SNES collection for younger, less-experienced users and anyone in search of a dependable, no-frills library.

jesus feckin christ, remind me not to put in "rate my collection" into a thread title again. The post was intended to encourage discussion about games that are maybe not known as the greatest games on the system and are not on my list of games to get, so after further reasearch i would maybe buy these games and enjoy playing them. instead what i have managed to get on this thread is about 7 or 8 helpful and informative posts, five piss poor attempts at comedy and about ten keyboard commandos trying to stir up an argument, great stuff :texaschain:

Star Fox (as mentioned earlier), and at least 1 version of Street Fighter 2 (most would recommend SFII Turbo, my fav is Super SFII because I had that one as a kid)

I think Super R-Type is worth owning.
