To All,
Anyone having issues in playing PS2 games on a PS3 connected HDMI 1080P to a Samsung LCD 6 series? When I am playing a game like KOF XI or Neo Geo Battle Coliseum for example, everytime I do a special move or if the character gets knocked down, I get interlace issues. When a character gets knocked down the whole screen has interlace/scanlines issues. My PS3 has the latest firmware so there is an built in upscaler on the PS3 side. Is everyone else having similar issues on 40 plus inch LCDs?
Thanks

Don't these games have a progressive scan option?

I had somewhat similar issues with my ps2 on the 5 series I had it hooked up with component cables it sometimes on some if not almost all games showed some pixilation during zoom in and zoom out and some pan shots.

I don't think these games have progressive scan but shouldn't the PS3 upscale them? The interlace problems are very noticeable. Luckily I don't have the gaming lag but seeing scan lines everywhere when there is motion sucks.

Is it with all games or just 2d games?

Well I haven't tried many PS2 games, just the two fighting games as mentioned. PS3 games look great on it. Using PC MAME and running SF 3 Thrid Strike looks great too and no interlace problems. I know if I plug in old gen systems into this Samsung 6 series (LN40A630 to be exact) is going to look like ass.

I've got both of these ports, and they do the same interlacing issue across three displays: a generic 24" crt, an older 4:3 rear projection and a sanyo plv-z1 projector. And they were played across fat and slim ps2s, along with my 60g ps3. Hate to say it, the games just do it :(
KoF 11 seemed to be a bit worse than Battle Colosseum about it as far as I remember.
/edit: They were all used with generic PS component cables as well, running across all the resolutions.

Is this a fully backwards-compat PS3 or is it a later, half-emulated model? (i.e. is it a 20 or 60, or an 80)
