This is great for people not familiar with the Jag to get a taste of what it's about!

Cool video, I'm a big fan of these. I've only got 5 or so Jaguar games right now.

You might want to put a subtitle at the bottom of the video that says what game is currently being shown. The games being in the video description is helpful... until you forget where you were.

Oh it's not even my video. :D I'm just a big Jaguar fan. I guess I didn't notice that problem seeing as I know how every single Jag games looks. :) I could see how someone not familiar would get lost though. Good point.

It's a fun video to watch. I notice on the page it's on it says it's an answer to one on 60 SNES Games so I may have to check that out next. I'm especially enjoying the quick snippets of Jag games I used to have but no more. Maybe some day I'll get a few of those again.

That was a nice video, I really like the Jag and that showcased some of the good games. It's too bad so many hate the console, sure it doesn't have a lot of games but it has a lot of charm and some really good exclusives.

Yeah, whenever I get a Jaguar I'll need Breakout, Tempest, and Defender 2k. Some cool titles in there I've never seen so yes, cool.

what the console lacks in a large quality filled game library it makes up for several times over in personality. This system IS badass and it does have a few gems.

Cool, but I did not see I-War...was it there?

Exactly. I'm afraid so many people judge the Jaguar before they've even owned one. And sometimes they've never even played one Jaguar game!!! :(

YES, you nailed it. The system has a huge charm factor.

Nope it sure wasn't. There are many more Jaguar games besides these 50 shown in the video. Including homebrews and betas released etc, the total number of Jaguar games is actually closer to 100 than 50. :)

I happened to make an organized list of all the Jaguar videos on Youtube. Have a look!

Kevincal, try the multi-quote button next time :)

I've never really been into the jaguar, I didn't realize how smooth some of its frame rates were. I'm actually really impressed. I'll have to pick one up sometime.

Not a bad game, just terribly cumbersome due to bad controls.

Otherwise it's an ok game...I enjoyed it at least. I liked Ultra Vortek more, though.

I always enjoy these types of videos. Had not seen this one however.

I had fun playing Kasumi Ninja, and yes, always as Angus. For some reason the game I got a big kick out of on Jag was Iron Soldier..

edit: wow, Atari Karts has some great music!

I'm trying to get my post count up! :P Or is it when you use the multi-quote button it counts all your posts? *feels stupid if that's the case*

If you key up that page again, look to the right of where the video screen is and you'll see a "More Info" link. Click on that and a message will come down listing what all the games are.

WOW... the Jag has an AWESOME library, even without all the aftermarket titles in that video... too bad the slow releases and high prices during it's time deterred it from competing more favorably with the Genesis, SNES, Sega CD, 32X, 3DO, PlayStation, Saturn, & N64... you also needed the Jag CD addon to play all of the games in that video, so that was yet another expense, and if it had lasted as long as the N64 did, I prolly would've sadly had to stop collecting for it too, as I had to with the N64... I simply couldn't afford to keep up with everything available at that time myself, so I can imagine what a deterrent it was for people who had even less money to spend than I did... I definitely had alot back then, but I sure don't have alot now... like everyone else these days... but this video just caused me to buy a copy of Attack of the Mutant Penguins on ebay, and to place an order for Atari Karts, before the cheapest place I know to get a sealed copy of it sells out of it, and I end up having to pay alot more for one on ebay, thanks to this thread... you scared me into doing it now, instead of waiting just a little while longer and risking it getting away for only $80 plus $6 shipping at Go Atari, Kevincal... so if they sell out of it, and the value goes up, due to my purchase, and you drawing attention to this video, it's all your fault! LOL

seriously though, every single one of the games in that video is worth the money for them, IMHO... and seeing them all like that makes you realize that they really aren't all 3D polygon games... the system had the muscle to kick everyone else's ass... it just didn't... because too many people weren't able to appreciate it back then... but for those of us who did, we knew we had something that was kicking ass... so I'll be doing it with Atari Karts soon... and a bunch of Mutant Penguins... that will bring me up to 31 Jag carts, plus 5 Jag CD's, for a total of 36 Jag games in my collection... now I can keep on dreaming about getting all the Songbird aftermarket games... those are all I have left to get that I really want... and they're all very expensive... so I'll prolly just be happy that I already have all the Telegames aftermarket games, and soon I'll finally have the rare and highly sought after Atari Karts too! plus I only had to pay $25 including shipping for Attack of the Mutant Penguins, thanks to Classic Game Source... that's $35 less than Go Atari wants for a sealed copy, so I only ordered Atari Karts from there... grand total for the two newest additions to my Jag collection, only $111!!! Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me, I'm buying myself some Jaguar joy, to help keep me happy... so what if it cost triple digits, I gotta have more!

I just wanted to add, if you're thinking of getting into collecting for the Jag & Jag CD, definitely shop around... there's a ton a great deals to be had on new Jaguar games on ebay, but there's a ton of sellers charging big bucks for games that you can get alot cheaper elsewhere too... so compare ebay sellers with Go Atari, and B&C Computer Visions... between those 3 sources, you can get just about everything you need as affordably as possible... except for some of the many rarities... the hardest games to get are all the aftermarket releases from Telegames & Songbird Productions... for those you're gonna have to pay top dollar, no matter where you get them from... and prolly even more for the Telegames releases now, since you can no longer order them directly from Telegames... and the rarest of the rare, like Air Cars and BattleSphere are gonna take huge chunks out of your wallet, if you want them... but for the most part, prices haven't changed since the Jaguar's heyday... they've just stayed high... so all the games have held their value over the years, making it a great system to collect for... every collector loves a sound investment, right? well this is it... the Jag & Jag CD!

I've always wanted a catbox.

I've never owned a Jaguar, or even came close, but I remember seeing the catbox in a video game magazine years ago and I fell in love with it. It was so sleek and sexy looking.

I'd buy one even now, even without a Jaguar, just to look at it :)

gee, this thread has me really pumped up for the Jaguar! I was already planning on adding Atari Karts & Attack of the Mutant Penguins to my collection, but after seeing this video, I want to keep going and get more of the games in that video! at least all the Songbird aftermarket releases...

SIGH... the Jag is draining my already mostly empty wallet again...

oh well, at least it always ROCKS to play a Jag game... especially a new one!

I hope I can afford to get more new Jag games soon... maybe a few more after Christmas... if I'm lucky enough to get enough money for more...

wow, Atari Karts has some great music!

it's not just the music, the whole game is great! now that I finally own it, and I've had a chance to play it extensively, I can attest that it's well worth the price... this is WAY better than Mario Kart... and definitely one of the best games available for the Jag... I daresay it's worth getting a Jag just for this!

I gotta say this video and thread have definitely increased my respect for the Jag. I've had a lot of games sitting on the shelves over the years but I don't think I've ever actually played any of the games. That will have to change some time...
