Got a good deal on this one locally and picked it up for $140. The buyer figured someone would convert it to play something else, but not while it's in my collection. I love when it says . . . It is the Nineties and there is time for KLAX. How cheesy is this. There is even an ad on the screen that displays while in attract mode to buy a KLAX shirt from Atari. This thing is tiny even compared to other minis. Fits nicely in the Garcade :)
What do you guys think of this game?

I have an old Galaga Mini cabinet that was gutted,so I put a KLAX kit in it for my wife as she loves the game.
Bought a sized to fit CP overlay and Made a bezel for it etc..
I also love the ((It is the Nineties and there is time for KLAX. How cheesy is this. There is even an ad on the screen that displays while in attract mode to buy a KLAX shirt from Atari))
QUESTION :
when your machine is on attract mode do you hear any music.sound?
I don't..I only hear the game when it's coined up to play.
I have the settings for attract mode on but I don't know if that equals sound too..

That's really cool! I remember a little pub we used to go to when I was in my mid twenties that used to have that exact machine in it. We'd sit there for hours playing it and getting plastered... Fun game, get's difficult the more you drink though.
Definately worth the buck-forty you paid for it IMHO.

I don't have any cabaret machines yet, but I've always wanted one. I've got two or three places in the house where a full-size machine won't fit, but one of those would ... (evil grin)

Ah ... the 90s.
They truly WERE the time for KLAX.

Ah, Klax cabaret, the bane of my existence. I've come across a few of them at amazing prices but have never been able to seal the deal. If I remember correctly, you can swap an Atari Tetris board in there as well with no modification.

If you want to pay for shipping, I know a local guy with one for sale for $100.

Thanks for the offer but I don't have the cash right now. There have been many times when I've had the money ready to go, there's a local (or nearly local) cabinet up for sale, but then things just never match up properly. The last one was $150.00 and twenty minutes away. The seller always seemed to be too busy to have me come pick it up, then quit replying and eventually pulled the ad.
I have the CPO, marquee, bezel and sideart I done myself. I scanned and photoshoped a set I purchased from ebay. Each file is sized at 400 dpi for mint quality printing. If anyone wants a full set, just email me. The quality of my work is far better than most artwork printing comercial sites.
