Hey guys. I'm walking into unfamiliar territory here. My friends dad has a boxed Odyssey 2 for sale. Before I go head over heels for this, I'd like to know how much I'm looking at here. Whats a going rate on one of these?

I don't think it comes with any games, but it comes with 2 controllers and hookups.

Last I checked, a CIB O2 system went for about $25-$30...

Sadly, he should probably pay you to take it off his hands. I had three really nice complete boxed O2s last year and I couldn't find anyone to take them even for free since shipping is quite a bit given their bulk and weight. I finally ended up donating them to a local charity since the tax write-off was worth more than their cash value or the hassle of continuing to look for someone to give them to. I like the idea that some newbie collector is going to pick them up at a local thrift and wonder who would still have a boxed O2 in their house thirty years after the fact.

I'd say offer $10 if it has all the parts and works.

They are pretty cheap and hard to get rid of but at least you don;t have to pay shipping.

I agree with BuyAtari $10, if it's truly CIB and in working condition.

For some reason the O2 seems to be boxed more often than loose. I think I paid $10 for mine in the box, including a handful of games CIB.

About $15 or so seems about right.

I have a few consoles with a few misc. pieces that I want to sell, but I am waiting for the price to go up some since they aren't complete. While I have been waiting, the price has gone down, down, down.

If you don't like the price now, maybe you should wait awhile and then like Bojay said, he will pay you to take it. :-D

alright well, I picked it up. I traded one of those old air conditioners that sit in your window and make tons of noise. Ever since the owner of our house installed central air conditioning Its been rotting in the garage. Killed 2 birds with 1 stone...got rid of the AC and picked up another system for my growing collection.

I never planned on selling it, I just didn't want to overpay. Even if it is pretty much worthless I find it pretty neat how its 30 years old. Its cool to have.
