I love the NXE and the avatars. And I was totally not excited about them ahead of time. I had a lot of fun making mine, as well as one for my son (who is not online), and looking at my friend's avatars.

I totally agree that everyone seems to be making the effort to make it look like themselves. I've got Joe on my friends list and although I've never met him, I've seen him in pictures and his avatar looks spot on! Mine is pretty good, although i could spend more time on the facial features like chin and nose size (I can't ever be bothered to change that stuff :) )

Looks sorta like me. I have gotten into the habit of wearing a hat in the winter whenever I go out. I hate cold weather!

Mine looks like me, hair is a little off and so is the beard though. I don't wear weird gloves but I liked them, I do have a sweater, jeans, and boots that look exactly the same though.
