I was all ready to make a little profit on ebay after finding a boxed nes action set at a yard sale yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I get it home and find out it is a different box from the one I have! Being a collector I'm going to keep it now, at least I can sell the complete nes inside. It has got me wondering though, how many different boxes for the system are there? Did they redo the box for the power set too?

Hey, those were the golden days of video games ;)

(and yeah, I consider myself a Democrat, no hating here)

There was also a set with the Official Nintendo Player's Guide (a large black book covering all the NES games available at the time with maps and hints and previews), two controllers and no game. I still have the box, it's just called Control Deck.

The basic Control Deck set was sometime sold without any game.

I too colect the different boxes..

The biggest box I have is for a Nes unit, Rob the Robot combo.
