Genesis Earthworm Jim proto?

I was talking with a gaming buddy of mine today. We just played Gears of War 2 together and beat it. And he said when he worked for some magazine in LA ,The company that makes earth worm jim? sent his friend at the magazine this proto. That guy knew my friend liked videogames so he gave it to him. Tonight he said he would give it to ME! He said he has it in a box in a bubble mailer. He also said its black with no label and he played it and their is no ending or something. Does anyone know of this proto? Is it a common one. I don't know much about it yet or them. Always thought I would never have one. But hopefully in a couple days I will be writing back saying I have it.

I was over at my friends house again and I asked him if he had looked for it. He was kinda like it would be a hassle to find it but hes sure its in one of his boxes in his closet. I can not let this go. I need him to want to look for it. I dont want to bother him to much but I never thought id have one. This is my chance. Ill try again soon.

I asure you this is not fake. I am still working on getting it from my friend. He has givin me all his old ps1 games about 50-60 some realy good. I keep asking him about the prototype. He says it's in a bubble mailer becuase it's just the board but he hasn't been able to find it. He has looked. He is a DJ that used to write articles for some magazine in LA and I guess this magazine reviewed videogames and his friend did this. Knew he would want to play Earthworm Jim and gave it to him. Now he says I can have it when he finds it. He is a good freind and not even a videogame collector. I told him I'd have to give him some money and he said for what. I told him these can be very expensive but he doesn't realy care about it. Not like I would. Thats why he wants to give it to me. I too hope he finds it soon. I've been on vacation for 14 days so Ill call him soon and see whats up.

I didn't even think to ask, but does the EWJ 1 proto contain any notable differences? Assuming you've taken the time out to play with it a bit.

Oh and RASK1904, with how long this has taken I don't see you ever getting that cart :P I mean, he surely must have had time somewhere by now to do this. Obviously you're not pestering him enough! :)
