Has anybody taken a interest in these 3 Pack Collections for PS2? Cause it's seems that the later and later it gets to the end of the PS2 gaming line more of these come out.So far I know of these:

1.Medal of Honor (I have this one)
2.Crash Bandicoot (I have this one)
3.Need for Speed (I have this one)
4.GTA (I have this one)
5.Tekken
6.Naruto
7.Smackdown vs Raw
8.Hitman
9.Pac-Man(Just Came Out)
10. Dragon Ball Z
11. Resident Evil

I'm not sure but i think a Mortal Kombat one came out too. I want to know if there are any more. By the way Naruto and Tekken 3 packs are on sale at Target for 14.99 each!

Off the top of my head, there's also a Devil May Cry 3-pack, and I just saw a Burnout pack (with Burnout 3, Dominator, and Revenge) at GameStop yesterday.

Btw, I've spotted the Pac-Man 3 pack on clearance at Target for $20.98 (YMMV).

I was bummed that they didn't do a Call of Duty 3pak and instead went for a 2pak. Getting Big Red One and Call of Duty 3 in a single bundle would have been nice :(

Maybe they'll do another one later down the line now that World at War Final Fronts is out.

The Mortal Kombat and DBZ ones were released in Latin America earlier this year, with Spanish packaging - they only popped up in the US recently.

For fifteen bucks I'd pick up that Naruto one. Just for the hell of it. :P

I have the the Devil May Cry and Medal of Honor ones.

I didn't realize there were three PS2 Pac-Man titles. Are they anything worthwhile playing?

I wouldn't count the ESA Foundation Compilation Set with three racing games, they're just shrinkwrapped together and are just the regular games.

Amazon has "Super Value 3 Packs" for the PS2. One has Puzzle Challenge Crosswords and More, Mojo, and Pinball Hall of Fame. There's at least one other 3 pack.

Kitsune Sniper

Yes, but the Wal-Mart ad has cover art with elements from all three games. Their two-packs are usually shrinkwrapped games, so I think these will be real three-pack sets.

Edit: Here's a scan.

I guess these will become common soon enough.

There is actually a 4th Pac-Man game called, Pac-Man Fever, its a party game, and pretty meh.

You are so wrong about the ESA Foundation Compilation Set, it comes in a box like all the 3 packs do. All 3 of those games inside, have there own cases, there own manuals. They even has miss matched artwork and game cds for ATV Offroad Fury 2 and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Both have greatest hits artwork, but have the normal version of the game inside. Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild is the only correct one, most likely because it didn't get a GH version for them to mess up.

Plus, each game case has no bar-codes on them, and say not for sale, part of a set, like almost all the other 3 packs do. The box even got its own scus code for it.

Here is the best picture i can find to show what it looks like.

I would say no, unless there is some different about them, besides some generic cardboard that holds the games. Like artwork, different upc, anything that says im a different version of the same game, etc. I doubt they do this.

Like I said, they're usually retail versions of games that were shrinkwrapped together, had their UPCs covered by a sticker on the shrinkwrap, and a UPC code slapped somewhere on it. Walmart sells tons of these sets all the time. I've also seen some of these at Toys'R'US (my local store had a three pack with King Kong, Th3 Plan and Matrix Path of Neo) and Best Buy.

There's a variation on that ESA set then, when I bought it at Wal-Mart for the games included, they were lined up against each other (Side by side) in shrinkwrap with a outer sticker with the ESA information on it. Was nothing special, and there was nothing really to distinguish it from the regular games if you actually opened it to be able to play them, besides perhaps not for resale information and no barcode (Not able to check at the moment).

Curious of the Guitar Hero 3-pack for the PlayStation 2.

Have those games (Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II) been redone to remove the Red Octane and Harmonix representations from them? I have notice that the box say 'Activision' on it.

I think the majority of 3 packs, or all of them, is that once you open up the large box that holds the games, they have no other plastic to remove. I'm pretty sure most of the new 3 packs are like that, and that some of the older ones might have plastic on the games inside. I seem to remember a few like that, but most with only the outer box plastic only.

Sorry for bumping this, but I've been looking for that Guitar Hero 1+2+80's pack online and it looks like the only place I can get one now is eBay - at prices ranging from $65 to $100.

The only online store that seems to carry it is Wal-Mart (and even they show it's out of stock), so what's the deal with this? Was it a Wal-Mart exclusive? If anyone's curious about this set, there's pictures here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120347011470).

I got the Guitar Hero 3 pack and its like the rest. I only need the following:
Devil May Cry 5th Anniversary Set (Black Box)
Grand Theft Auto Double Pack
ESA Foundation Set

Once I get those 3, I'll take a picture of all of them.

Is the GTA Double pack only available in Greatest Hits?

It turns out that my local Walmart still HAS some of those Guitar Hero 3-packs... at least until two weeks ago. Weird!

Also, FxMercenary, all the boxes I've seen have black label art, which is annoying to me because I wanted that Namco fighting set to have GH versions. :p

Edit:
Nate, the outer box has the Greatest Hits label on it but the boxes are different. See here (http://cgi.ebay.com/Grand-Theft-Auto-Double-Pack-for-PS2_W0QQitemZ140291456545QQihZ004QQcategoryZ139973 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) for a picture of all the items on the set.

I haven't included that one, it was released like a regular game right? No fancy casing.

Also, I got the black box DMC now, so its down to the other 2 and I guess the GH dual pack.

Its great the only ESA set I've found was on Amazon and it was for 50+...

Check ebay, i was able to bid on one a few months ago, and win for about $15, it will pop up eventually. For Guitar Hero & Guitar Hero II Dual Pack, it just didn't get a special cardboard box, it did get a nice new cover though. :)

Did you get the SpongeBob: Happy Squared Pack yet? Only 2 games, but a pretty cool little set. The box, cases, game discs, are all unique, with slightly different slus cods, like the CoD set.
Also i seen somewhere that a Grand Theft Auto 2 pack was coming out sometime in the summer iirc, it includes Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. :D

I need 10 more of these 2/3 pack sets.

It doesn't show it in that amazon picture, but this set does included a Box to hold both games with unique artwork on the box, front and back. It doesn't include a slus code on the box though. :( Upc on box, is new as well.

There are a couple of PS2 3-packs that you can get for $20 ($18 w/ coupon) at EB/GS now during their "Game Days" sale.

I got the DMC pack today. It wasn't in the Game Days bin, just in the regular PS2 section, but it rang up fine. I managed to snag a "real" new version... the cover box and all three of the games were shrinkwrapped.

One thing I haven't seen pointed out is that printed (not a sticker) over the UPC of all three games was a "not for resale" label.

Every time i go there and see a 3 pack i need, it seems to be in very crappy quality, i want a box that isn't damaged, and mint as can be. I've yet to buy a 3 pack set from gamestop.

The majority of the 3 pack sets or all (except 1) have "not for resale" label where the barcode would be, the Dragon Ball Z Trilogy set is the only set i can recall that has its upc's intact, with no slus variants on the spine or game cd, and a lack of a "not for resale" label on the back of each case. Pretty crap set if you ask me, not special at all.

The Sega Fun Pack is also like the DBZ set, but each case does have a white sticker over the barcode, sorta like Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure (Limited Edition)

Is there any other 3 pack sets or 2 pack, that are lacking anything cool that sets them apart, from there normal release? Nate should be able to answer this, as he owns alot of the sets.

So does anybody have the Sega Fun Pack yet? I noticed something quite weird, besides the lack of a slus number on the box, the Sonic Mega Collection Plus GH version that comes with this, it comes with a 2 disc cd case, its missing the removable cd holder, but its got the little snap things you push that into. Weird, huh? (I got my copy from amazon, and it was sealed, so i know its not something thrown together)

I know this is sorta off topic but just to let everybody know Xbox 360 has their first 3 pack. It's Viva Pinata: Party Animals, Shrek the 3rd and Sonic the Hedgehog for $19.99

I think that's actually the second set. I'm pretty sure we discussed that in an earlier thread.

The only three-game set I want is the Onimusha one, and that one doesn't have a discount, so I guess I'm stuck for a while. I'd like to get that crappy Dragon Ball one, but I'm not even touching the Mortal Kombat one. :P

Because the Onimusha one is decent, at least. The Dragon Ball games are button mashers and MK has sucked for over ten years.

And the only difference between the US and Mexico releases of the MK and DB sets are the outer cardboard, there's no region lockout between the US and Mexico. (At least when it comes to XBox / 360 games, we get US region games with a Spanish manual included, sometimes with bilingual cover art - kinda like Quebec gets French games, but it's not a requirement.)

I would like to see a SOCOM 4 pack. They are pretty fun games and the servers are still online, so I think a pack with all 4 games on the PS2 would be awesome.

I think a Jak and Daxter 3 pack would be awesome too, even if 2 and 3 were lame compared to the first.

Dire 51, there are 2 DMC sets, one that is a white box/artwork, and the other that is black box/artwork. So you might need to let us know which version your talking about...
