I just came across this game in my collection and it has slapped on the front of it a sticker that says "Property of NMI 4820- 150th Avenue N.E. Redmond, WA 98052 USA" and on the back another sticker that says "Not for Resale Demo Only Property of Nintendo". Does this have any kind of value more so than a retail copy would? I'm just curious about the whole matter, any information is greatly appreciated.

sounds like a labl loaner cart, it could be a prototype, i'd open it up and check out the board.

By no means is it a proto...it's a store demo cart, and really, only a retail cart with a couple stickers that would indicate so. "NMI", I'm guessing it means "Nintendo Merchandising, Inc." As for value, right about $10 or so.

Heres another variant where the "not for resale" is labeled on the front of the cart: http://cgi.ebay.com/NCAA-Basketball-Super-Nintendo-SNES-RARE-Demo-Cartridge_W0QQitemZ400010897198QQihZ027QQcategoryZ 139973QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trks idZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

But before you get all happy, keep in mind that this seller has had this listed at that price for like 2 years. Apparently he doesn't possess enough common sense to realize that constantly relisting something at the same non-selling over priced structure is a never ending circle of a lose-lose situation. As for your copy, it's worth roughly $10-25.

As everyone else has said it is probably worth about $10-$20. I've never seen that variation though with the NMI sticker on front. If you ever decide to sell it let me know since I would definitely be interested. :)
