Possible to transfer Xbox live account?

I'd like to transfer my Xbox live account to another person. I would normally assume that this is not possible, but if I go to https://billing.microsoft.com/ and log in, it looks like it will actually allow me to change both my name and my contact email address, although I was not ready to try. I should be able to change my address and phone number, and change the billing to my friend's credit card. But what about the actual name? Hypothetically, what if somebody legally changed their name?

You should be able to change the name over.

I sold my 360 to someone I knew and then called up XBOX and had them change the registry from my name to his.
