No, no its not my page and its not even done yet, only 1989-90 can be found. But what a great idea! There should be a website just like that for every main console done by us retro gamers. You can find some interesting sega ads and info on said games on that site. I know im a sucker for that kinda stuff. 8-) I guess its just how those ads and old game magazines have captured the spirit and time of that specific console era. Its nice to think back on how cool and awesome those "new" games looked for the first time and after seeing that site they still make you wanna go and rush to the nearest game store. ;) Guess i need to really start searching for those old magazines next time i go out.
And if you think you can help the guy in any way to finish that site any faster then be sure to email him. I know if theres one place on the web for that kind of information its this site.

"Fors Yard" sounds familiar. Is that a stage (or song) from Space Harrier? That's what my head is associating it with.

It's from Space Harrier II, to be exact. It's the name of stage two.
Great site, btw. I plan to link up to it on the OPCFG and West Mansion asap.

Nice site, missing the odd fact here and there (plus a good dose of should-be-embarrasing "I never played this game..." wastefulness), but I'm still getting plenty out of it. A-grade stuff all around!

Thanks for the kind words. And yes, I am embarrased, but I'm covering every game I have a print ad for so I have to think of something to say :)

Oh, that reminds me. The guy who did the music for Phantasy Star II also did the music in the game you've got in your avatar (got a sample cartridge of the sequel, Zillion II, plus a tea cup from Japan, myself), and his name is Tokuhiko "Bo" Uwabo.
Here's a good page about him:

Thanks, that's a very cool site! I knew about Bo doing the Zillion soundtrack (which was awesome), but it's cool to have his "gameography" all together in one place like that.

The site has an unbelievable amount of potential. There is just too many gaming sites out there that aren't unique. Thanks for the heads up and congrats to Fors Yard, keep up the good work :P

Awesome, thanks! I like to think FORS YARD is somewhat unique, for better or for worse :)

Thanks, glad you like it! I'm doing the most prolific and famous developers and such, so long as they worked on Genesis titles. I'll be doing Yuzo Koshiro next (that's a big one!).
I just wanted to point out that many of the scans in the print archive at my site are from FORS YARD and I wanted to thank him for it. Genesis sites need to stick together and I just wanted to point that out. I try to be on the up-and-up with all my sources (ask danielthomas, vinnyT, and Dire 51) but communication got a bit mixed up with FORS.
Sorry about that. :)

YEAH, I absolutely love the site as well. I love video game sites that have timelines like that, espcially with cool information that you don't just find anywhere, like certain sales numbers, particular dates, etc.
AWESOME!!!!

Wow.
Very impressive. Tying the game description with the ads is great. They brought me back to my teen years when I thumbed through EGM, VG&CE and Game Players and started drooling over the future titles my new Genesis will be able to play.
