Adventure has been ported to the iPhone/iPod Touch, and there's lots of knock-off games based on old classics available too. My question is: what classic video game or computer game do you think would work if it were ported over to the iPhone? Take into account that it doesn't have any control buttons on it, so you'd have to play the games either by the tilt sensors inside it or by the touch screen. Here's a few I've been wishing would get ported:
Ballblazer (Atari XE/7800) - With tilt controls, this would be awesome. As long as they don't port the lousy Playstation version.
Shark! Shark! (Intellivision) - This would be pretty nice, and it would have that quick pick-up-and-play appeal. Tilt the phone/iPod, eat little fishes, get bigger so you can eat bigger fishes.
Mind Strike (Intellivision ECS) - I'd love to see any modern update of this game for any platform. Imagine Stratego but more open-ended, with loads of already made playfields and the ability to make your own.
Hydro Thunder (Dreamcast/arcade) - There's a few boat racing games on the iPhone, but none can match up to this one. I'd be so cool to see it ported.
Any good graphic enhanced text adventures. I'd love to play some of the old classics, brought up to date with modern graphics.
Utopia (Intellivision) - This would be an interesting game, a light little sim game that's easy to play on the go. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't get the fact that it's not a modern sim and it's not meant to be as complex as the latest sim games, but it'd still be fun. Maybe the Blue Sky Rangers can port a few Intellivision games and make them into a bundle?
