The DP Righteous Generator of Game Genesis (tm) hath brought forth Wisdom Tree's "Spiritual Warfare" for us today.
Ever play it? I hesitate calling it a Zelda clone for fear of being thrashed by any RPG fan worth his salt. There are RPG elements in the game though, and there are intriguing Bible quizzes, and you get to convert demons and collect their souls, and HEY! There's even an item called "Vial of God's Wrath"! The game can't possibly be bad with all of these things. Or can it? You tell me.

DP Guide sez:
Spiritual Warfare (Nintendo NES, by Wisdom Tree) $7/R4
Designed by Vance Kozik, Nina Bedner, Charles Johnson. Unlicensed. Many of Color Dreams' games were bent and twisted to create the Wisdom Tree games. According to designer Kozik, this game was built from the Crystal Mines code. SANTULLI SLANT: Now see here. I was raised in a Catholic household, went to a Catholic school for 9 years, and even received the class "Religion Award" upon graduating the 8th grade. It's a competent Zelda clone, alright, and yet I must tell you that religion and video games do not mix. Beating up demons with bananas and actually using the equivalent of a holy hand grenade just doesn't sit well with me. And let's not even start with the Bible "trivia", which seems to prove that I have turned totally evil and immoral since winning that award. Well OK, maybe I have. Fair enough, then. [Gr: 4, So: 4, Ga: 7, Ov: 6] c1992.
