I guess it was only a matter of time. Even uses the built in SD card slot... how, convenient!? No more lost microSD cards or fishing them out of the vacuum canister (them are tiny buggers). lol

With the new features of the DSi what will flashcarts offer us other than the usual peg legged activities one expects? :hmm: I'm hoping for some unexpected utilities to arise via homebrew. :)

Yeah, why in the world did Nintendo put an SD card slot in the DSI?! You don't combat piracy by putting the most common memory card format in the world on your system. Don't get me wrong, as a system feature for the common customer it's quite nice. Unfortunately(or fortunately:)), it's a definite Achilles heel regardless of Nintendo's good intentions.

Nice! Now I just need a reason to replace my DS with a DSi and I'll get one of these.

LOL, because maybe they can finally just give up and admit the piracy is going to envade the system anyway? Regardless the DSI will make tons of money, might as well give it more standardized options............

True enough, but on the surface it would seem that they haphazardly blundered... as if they strolled, almost deliberately, right in to a trap. That's it! I'm sure they did a risk ratio analysis and the SD inclusion suggested more profitability even with potential piracy considered. Still, seems to be a bit of a capitulation... oh well. Call it a win/win I guess. Still eager to see what the homebrew community comes up with for this thing.

The only sure thing is, if Nintendo designed the DSi to curb piracy then it is back to the drawing board. :)

I think the DS showed that a console can be very easily pirated yet be enormously commercially successful and quite feasibly also be one of the reasons why it IS selling so well compared to other competing platforms.
