Ok so I just got this 360 that was RROD and Sometimes it will boot to the dash but most times it will turn on and do nothing no video no sound. The ring stays off but the power light comes on . A few times is would half boot and freeze while the logo was coming on the screen.

This is with 2 different power supplies plugged directly in the wall . There are no controllers or peripherals connected. You can open the drive and put in a disc and it will spin up like it's reading it. Any ideas?

Sounds like the northbridge is shot. Either that, or the actual CPU is coming off the board.

Your best bet is to send it in to Microsoft.

Im waiting to hear back from them now since I tried to register the unit and It told me my Serial number is not valid.

just use a heat gun i used one to fix my mums hp pavilion dv9398ea laptop as the gpu was comming off but sorted now

You'd need to replace the solder too, the RohS solder they used sucked.
