This is the most insane PSX game ever. The subtitle is "Step Champ." Basically, you hook up DDR mats and play the most bizarre mini games ever. These mini games make Namco's Point Blank look as tame as Hogan's Alley. There's one in which you play Red Light/Green Light. The "judge" is a cat with a man's face, and chainguns for arms. I am 100% serious. There's also a mini DDR mode where you play three panel half length versions of about 6 different songs.

But that's not all. Plug a multitap in to port 2, and connect two DDR mats to ports A and B. Yes, you can play three player mode in all the games. And it still gets better. Plug in three mats, go to pseudo-DDR mode (purple option on the main menu,) and hold start on mat 1. It goes in to Triple mode. You can play 9 panel DDR across 3 mats. It's the coolest thing ever.

If anybody gets the game and needs some clumsy menu translations and names, just say the word. I think I might get some screen shots and other photos later.

Japan gets the best games. :(

How hard is it to mod a PS2? :)

Get a Game Shark sampler and a table knife. That's all you need for PS1 games. The knife swap trick works just fine. Otherwise, get a PSX with parallel port, and use a game enhancer mod. I've been using that for a long time, and it's great.

By the way, here's the official arcade version site: http://www.konami.co.jp/am/step/

Looks like a fun game.I'll have to check it out.And anything that uses a DDR pad has to be cool.

Oh, you don't even know the half of it. :-)

It's also got remakes of 4 Track and Field events: 100m Dash, Hurdles, Javelin, and High Jump. Those will wear your ass out.
