http://www.playswitch.com/playswitchhomepage.aspx

Above is a link to a site I have been trying out for a while now, it is called playswitch.com. The first I have heard about it was on Sarcastic Gamer.com and eventually made my way over there after supporting noobtoob, if a site will recognize two great online gaming show, it is worth the look.

So you may be wondering what it is like. Well it is simple enough, get a free account, acquire Switchbucks (ie money use to spend on games) and some trade tokens (service charge for using the site) and find games you want. Once you search for them, you can either add it to your want list, or list the item to sell. Once you do that, select the max bid for the item you want and wait for someone else to match it.

Now a nice feature about the site is if you are not sure of a game there is a link to a forum where users of the site will tell you if a game is worth getting and how much it should be for. There are nice charts with an estimate price you should buy or sell the item and give you the lowest selling price and the highest biding price. Anyone wanting to sell Rock Band 2 for 300 switchbucks is going to wake up to the reality that people will not see your listing. If they are tied it is first come first serve as to who gets the winning bid.

Now from what I am looking at this could be a viable area to get rid of/acquire modern games (Wii, 360, PS3, DS, etc.). With a one dollar fee per trade, and no listing fees this has potential in my book. I thought I share it with you and see if anyone else is on this site or can pin another site that might have something better on it. Share what you think I am curious to see if anyone here would be interested in it.

Somehow I don't expect them to last too long without being flooded by tons of ripoff artists...

this is actually how paperbackswap operates, and it's been going strong for a few years. Not saying this site can or will work, but the model's been shown to be viable at least.
