So im trimming out my collection and getting rid of all the cross platform duplicates and wondering what you guys think was a better game.
I've read a couple reviews but none really say hands down which is better. I hear the PS2 has a difficulty option, but the answers to puzzles are right in your face.
Any one have any thoughts?

The PS2 version has a difficulty option? I need to find that one. I found the DC version way too hard.

I recall the PS2 version having better graphics and controls but the framerate not being as smooth or some such. Hrm. I oughta fire up both again sometime, actually.

And there were more save points.
I also heard the PS2 version graphics weren't as good. Mostly the textures in the background...they didn't seem "alive" i heard.

Well I found actually a website where they did screen shot comparisons:
Looks like the DC is a better game just lacks the Difficulty Option the PS2 has:

Any more input would be great :)

For me it would mostly come down to controls. Does the ps2 version allow for using both sticks (and I don't see why it wouldn't)? If so, it would be the clear winner. I used to play Unreal Tournament on the DC fairly well using the buttons to control movement and the joystick to look around, but having been used to twin-sticks for so long, it would be difficult to the point of being unplayable to go back.

I would think this too, but I was actually just playing a DC FPS the other day that used the buttons to move. It was not hard at all to get back into. Probably due to the fact that keyboard+mouse combos use digital buttons for movement, too.

Well I played the first 15 mins of each and I'm going to have to go with the DC version. The graphics are noticeably better and the controls on the PS2 are worse in my opinion. You have to use the dpad to move which makes running + shooting + looking around near impossible.
Saying you have one hand on the d pad to run..one hand on the analog stick to aim and some how have hit X also to shoot.
On the DC its move with the A, B, X, Y, Aim with the Analog stick and shoot with the R button.
Same applies for jumping as its like A on the PS2 and L Button on the DC.
Also strafing on the DC is just A and X while on the PS2 its L2 and R2.
Thanks for the help and hope this topic helps someone in the future.
