I have the chance to buy this from my local mall for 1k, just wondering if that is overpriced or what, from what I saw so far (Still gotta go back and relook) the machine appeared to be in good shape, just getting a second or third opinion before I start saving my money. :)

That's quite alot to me. Is it a 4-player machine or just a 2? I've found 4-player machines to go for alot more that I can afford.

I would definitely say WAY too much, unless it's really hard to find or something. I know nothing about the rarity of arcade games. My cabinet only cost $200 (WWF Superstars). Do some shopping around.

no way I would pay 1 grand for a gauntlet arcade game even though I like it a lot. @_@

I've never been a fan of Gauntlet, so I don't keep up with prices very much. I saw a two player on ebay a couple of years ago, but I can't remember what it went for. From a collecting stand point, I think the two player is much rarer than the four player. The four player usually goes for around 700-800. If you can get them down to 800, it may be worth buying just to resell. That also depends on if it is a dedicated two player, or just a conversion, and the condition of the cabinet. If it is just a conversion, then I wouldn't spend more than a few hundred.
