I fired up the old Xbox today and played some Halo 2 online, then popped in Far Cry Instincts in the hope that someone was on, but no luck. If there are any players still out there, my gamertag is: Sasquatch Marma. There was something charming about the multiplayer in this game, I always thought, plus it made for some hilarious kills. I still chuckle about the time I was playing on some player created map, and this guy had made a ridiculously tall tower. As I sat in another zoomed in with a sniper rifle scope, watching him climb this giant ladder, I shot him in the back as he was just about to reach the top, then watched him fall many stories to his death. The best part was that whoever was playing had a good sense of humor and decided to scream all the way down as he fell. It's stuff like that that makes it fun for me, not the people who take it so competitively. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason to take multiplayer gaming THAT seriously, is if you are actually playing in a tournament for prizes. But, to each their own. Anyway, I hope I can reach some other people who'd like to play once in awhile for shits-n-giggles.

Never played either one online, but I had fun with the singleplayer. It's especially neat if you've played the PC version and can recognize various set pieces and maps when you approach and explore them in entirely new ways. I used to have a blast playing the PC game online, though.
Lots of fun to be had there, though they never could quite get the damage numbers balanced quite right. For whatever reason and for the longest time, people avoided the P90 despite it being ridiculously overpowered. Eventually it caught on and got toned down, but good lord was it fun to slaughter people with that baby.

I have both Farcry games on the original Xbox. I haven't finished the first one yet and have only played online once.....by myself. Like you said there was nobody else online. I actually find this funny when I get tired of playing single player on certain fps games and then try to do multiplayer online. But with Farcry, Darkwatch, Painkiller and Doom 3 theres usually just me playing by myself. I can even still find people playing Star War: Jedi Academy(a really fun game btw) online but not anyone in first person shooters. Anyway, my gamertag is: THE 1 2 P(I'm sure you are shocked, lol) so send me a friend request sometime and we can be the only TWO people in one of those games. And atleast Doom 3 has multiplayer co-op online.
