Well, the guy is an idiot BUT he is one of the best boxers who ever lived. It's about time that boxing games put him back into the mix. They can't deny this legend any longer.

That should be his signature "illegal blow" move. Headbutts are for wimps! I guess you could only do it twice though:)

Sheeit, I forgot about those awards. Not that they are very legitimate (I think I remember Crysis not-winning best graphics last year) but I like seeing footage. Time to look around online, beacuse I love Round 3.

Unless they have authentic "ear-biting" and "purposely headbutting" action I won't be playing as him.

that would be awesome, why not toss in Rocky and Ivan Drago while were at it. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that would like to see Rocky vs. Mike Tyson.

I'm pretty sure Tyson takes him. Even in his prime, Rocky went down a lot. In Tyson's prime (pre-1990) he never did.

No way. Drago punches at 2000PSI; Tyson supposedly hit at around 1500 in his prime. Tyson tended to win by KO, and Rocky never goes down for the count. Hell, he never blocks!

I dunno, I always thought of Rocky as over-rated. He goes down A LOT, and loses sometimes too. Kind of like Daniel-San The Karate Kid. He's supposed to know all this great karate from his master, yet he's always getting his ass kicked.

At that rate why not add Jackie Chan. He knows how to box.....drunken style.

I would say "lets add Chuck Norris" also. But it wouldn't be fair to the other fighters.

yeah Rocky did go down a lot. But its not about how many times you get knocked down, its about how many times you get back up.
Rocky vs. Tyson would be similar to Rocky vs. Clubber Lang. Rocky goes the distance each time, Tyson got knocked out in his first 10+ round fight.

Drago is on that Juice though. They should add Adam Carolla, Hillary Swank, and Kimbo Slice just because he's Kimbo Slice.

Unless of course you want to lose by TKO.

I heard they tried to put Norris into a game once, but every time they tried to write the code that displayed his beard the computer got roundhouse kicked into space.

Didn't Bruce Lee kick Chuck's ass in one of his movies? Art imitates life I guess:)

Actually, he wasn't even the best boxer when he fought in his prime much less one who ever lived.
He hit hard (which made opponents scared to attack him) and swarmed his opponents and that made him an exciting fighter. However, he had a weak chin and lacked the discipline to become truly great. James Douglas had nothing to lose in his fight with him and exposed Tyson after he swarmed him back. Tyson then beat up some ham and eggers setting up the Holyfield fight before eventually going to prison for rape. Getting out 6 years later, he beat some blowover competition setting up a "washed up" Evander Holyfield to publicly embarrass him twice.
Not exactly a dream career.
But, he's still an icon despite all evidence to the contrary and is probably still the face most of the public associates with boxing. All things said, he's better in the game than left out of it. He can certainly use the licensing fee.

That Chuck Norris game could only be made without the beard though, check the pic.
Also, Sham Wow commercial is playing in the background . Awesome.

Shit, man. That was perfect! Great paraphrase and you used it at just the right time.

Yeah. By the end of round 11, Rocky has fallen behind in points. Rocky and Tyson are both going for a knockout and they're too "in the zone" to consider who is ahead in points. Round 12 ends but they continue to fight. As everybody enters the ring to break them up, we hear the panicking score keepers discussing the points and Tyson has won. Nobody can break them apart and in the interest of their own safety, they exit the ring and leave Rocky and Tyson to finish their fight. Rocky goes the distance and KO's Tyson in the 311th round. Tyson still gets the win but it doesn't matter. Rocky was fighting for respect...and he'll get it now!!

Kimbo has some work to do or the only thing he'll be in is his old apartment.

Tyson didn't swarm Douglas at all, he (Douglas) had a 12 inch reach on him & Douglas definitely didn't swarm Tyson (until round 10) either. Douglas won rounds using a very slow and methodical way of gaining points and edging out tyson each round on the cards (no swarming though - don't forget what happened in the closing seconds of round 8 either). Tyson came to fight extremely unprepared and was just assuming he'd have an early knock-out, he didn't even bring a cutman (in later rounds his corner has to use a latex rubber glove filled with cold water to lessen the swelling of his left eye).
I think you should check out the list of fighters of who he knocked out before you dismiss those boxers and his career as anything but legendary. I'm personally not a tyson fan (in fact I've watched the douglas fight about 20 times because of how much I love how he is dismantled), but to imply that he's not a boxing legend couldn't be farther from the truth. Now you'd have a very good argument for someone like Riddick Bowe (there's an SNES game made with him), would could have been a boxing legend, but couldn't discipline himself in his personal life which ultimately led to his fall from boxing.
As for Tyson today and boxing after jail, yeah an absolute embarrassment. Look at him today though, what a stud

Something odd though (since we're on the topic) I was in Vegas last August and my friend saw him walking from either Nobu (extremely expensive sushi place) or the italian place across from it (also very pricey can't recall the name) at the Hard Rock Hotel, followed by an entourage of hot women. I was upstairs changing real quick so I missed him, but it's odd that I always hear how broke he is and here he was apparently living it up. Also amazing that a convicted rapists can still get hot women - fascinating... I guess they could have been hookers, but then that would go back to the money thing!

It's been a long time, but wasn't Tyson convicted with VERY little evidence? Almost her word against his? The only fact is she went up to his room willingly that night. What happened next is debatable.
Very cool that Mike Tyson is going to be included in the next Fight Night. I'm tired of him being excluded in boxing games.
